Love knows no boundaries. In show business it is also the same.

Perhaps, I am making a big deal out of interracial couples. Though it is very possible and it is a reality and happening, we can’t hide the fact that there is still discrimination when it comes to two individuals bearing different skin colours. They are often hailed and ostracised at the same time.

I should know. I am one of them, sans fame. And you do everything such as moving on to another country to prove that, to be with the one you love.

In the case of famous Chinese actress Zhang Ziyi she didn’t change her nationality. She has just “emigrated” to Hong Kong from Beijing thus changing her passport of ex-British colony in order to move around the world freely. The following could be counted as her reasons: to further her career as a foreign artist and to be able to meet her boyfriend at the moment, the Israeli multimillionaire Aviv “Vivi” Nuevo, who lives in New York, United States.

Zhang has already obtained the coveted permission of residence in Hong Kong, so difficult to obtain for many of its compatriots, with it she can travel without a visa to 134 visa countries (with Chinese passport, nevertheless, it is necessary to obtain visa stops most of those nations).

Presently, apart from the young actress other artists who have been granted such privilege are Lang Lang and Li Yundi, both famous pianists.

It isn’t known how the two have met. But the venture capitalist, who is branded to be a ladies’ man, is a major shareholder in Time Warner “and an early backer of The Weinstein Company with whom Zhang is purported to have a multi-film deal.” Her film “Memoirs of a Geisha” is said to be one of them. Her next project will be the filming of Disney’s “Mulan.”

Vivi was spotted with Kate Moss, according to Page Six. Zhang was purported to be the lover and protege of exceptional director Zhang Yimou (”Raise the Red Lantern,” “House of Flying Daggers“), who was the ex of another Chinese actress Gong Li. The two never confirmed nor denied the reports.

As for 28-year-old Zhang, she confirmed to the press that she is happy and very much in love but quite mum about the mystery man. Until pictures of her and the 41-year-old president of NY Investments surfaced when the two was caught kissing in the public.

“I keep it very quiet. It’s not a Chinese thing. I want to just keep it quiet and enjoy my life. I don’t want to show off.”

The young actress admits that living a normal family life is her ambition without the limelight and the press.

“You know, one day if I found the right person I would love to get married and just stop doing all this. That’s my biggest dream. I want to have my own family, a beautiful house and a few dogs and kids.”

This isn’t difficult to imagine. But one thing isn’t clear. Is it love or purely business?
