Peter Pan Manson is afraid of getting solo
Well, that’s according to his former wife, Dita von Teese. The burlesque sensation said shock rocker Marilyn Manson “is a serial monogamist.” Dita left him last year after she got sick of his wild partying and had found out that the rocker was thinking of bringing another woman into their relationship. Dita was extremely not in the mood for threesome.
She recently told OK! magazine via The Sun that Marilyn, a.k.a. Brian Warner, cannot live on his own.
“It’s quite typical of him to get into another relationship quickly - he is the kind of person who needs to be with someone all the time so it doesn’t surprise me. I’ve moved on.”
This must be Dita’s revenge after Marilyn kept on harping the press how his ex-wife ruined his ego and drowned his talent. He and his band were in Austria a week ago, as a part of their their European tour showing up from festival to another. Together with his newfound love, Evan Rachel Wood, they were snapped by several photogs in Paris and was overheard talking about a special gift for Evan: a bat, which Evan said: “Oh, how sweet!” Heute Weekend reported that every night, according to a Parisian hotel insider, flapping and screaming were heard in their room.
Gala Germany also interviewed Marilyn recently and the first thing he did was to rant against Dita’s influence on him and her monumental expectations for him to grow up. Mr. Manson is clearly having a Peter Pan syndrome. All in all, the conclusion is that he doesn’t want to grow up.
“The past year was hard for me. The other self had moved away from the ‘artist self.’ I could have given up my creativity but that would have meant my end. I didn’t want to die. It was much worse: Death would have been a goal, but I did not have a goal. The only one, which I knew, was that I hated myself and I had fear of myself. Now I know that a marriage influences a human because one gives a part up of himself. The other person has expectations of the other, which, before, did not play a role in the partnership.”
Gala asked what did Dita expect him to be. He admitted that she wanted him to grow up, to think of the future. He blamed Dita for bringing him to the glamour world, “which I don’t clearly belong.” That made the singer more cynical and his depressions grew worse. He also denied that there was another woman that shattered their marriage but he surely thanked Evan from saving him from having a complete breakdown.
Evan is enormously inspiring. Because of her I rediscover myself. Although she is 19 years younger than I am. She shows me that a person never never loses his inspiring ability, no matter how old one he is…
Though Marilyn seems to be enjoying his Lolita-esque girlfriend, his ex-wife is not hurrying to find Mr. Right.
“I want to take some time to think about the sort of person I’m looking for and about the kind of relationship I’d like to be in.”
Good for her.
