‘Jackass’ Johnny Knoxville and wife split

Johnny KnoxvilleOkay, “Jackass” might be a popular TV show in the States and some parts of the world. Coincidentally, it made a celebrity out of Johnny Knoxville, a.k.a. Philip John Clapp.

The papers filed at the LA Superior Court cited irreconcilable differences between the “Jackass” main man and his wife of 12 years, Melanie Lynn Clapp. The 36-year-old Johnny is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their daughter, 11-year-old Madison, whose name he has tattooed across his chest. He has offered to pay an unspecified sum of child support.

They were married on May 15, 1995 and got separated a year ago on July 17, 2006.

He was previously rumoured to have an affair “Dukes of Hazzard” co-star Jessica Simpson, who was married to Nick Lachey at the time.
