Paris Hilton and Benji Madden

After over 8 months of serious dating and even some talk of future marriage and children Paris Hilton and boyfriend Benji Madden have ended their relationship. Neither Hilton or Madden is giving the media reasons for their split but according to sources who claim they’re close to the couple the break-up has something to do with Benji Madden’s controlling ways.

I have my doubts though becasue since Hilton’s friend Nicole Ritchie became a mom, Paris has given up her party girl ways and looked like she was ready to settle down. She’s even mentioned wanting to have children a few times over the past year. Is it Paris that’s unhappy with Benji or is it her friends who are complaining that Paris has changed?

Since the old Paris partied constantly, acted like a dumb bimbo on one too many occasions, and even ended up in jail, I’m inclined to think that the new, smarter version of Hilton is the one her friends should promote.

I’m sure it won’t be long before Paris Hilton has a new boyfriend, maybe the next guy will be a keeper.

24-year-old singer Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has given birth to her first child. The baby boy named Bronx Mowgli Wentz was born on Thursday November 20 at Cedars Sinai Medical Center. Ashlee Simpson and husband Pete Wentz, 29 have been waiting patiently during the long pregnancy and had even considered inducing labor in the final weeks.

Both mom and baby are doing well and Bronx Wentz was born weighting a healthy 7 pounds, 11 ounces and a lengthy 20 1/2 inches.

Ashlee Simpson’s latest album is titled “Bittersweet World” and was released in 2008. It will be interesting to see the affect that motherhood will have on her future musical projects.

Jennifer Aniston appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show yesterday, November 13, 2008 to promote her 2008 holiday movie “Marley and Me.” Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston make a cute couple in the comedy which is based on the Marley and Me novel written by author John Grogan.

Aniston cleared up some recent rumors, setting fans straight. She has in fact reunited with boyfriend John Mayer but no, she is not pregnant. According to Aniston she is totally over the Brad Pitt era of her life which she refers to as “a hundred years ago.” She also doesn’t agree with the media’s take on her love life.

When Oprah Winfrey asked her what she thought about the media’s portrayal of her lonely love life the “Friends” star said that she felt she was actually very lucky when it comes to love, she also feels lucky to have such a large number of fans who care so much about her.

Jennifer Aniston admitted that she recently called what Angelina did “very uncool.” She told Oprah that when an interviewer from Vogue Magazine asked her what she thought of Angelina Jolie’s comments regarding Jolie and Brad Pitt’s future together while she and Pitt were still married, she just told the truth about how she felt. She did not expect her comment to end up on the cover of Vogue Magazine and said that it “wasn’t very vogue” of them to place it on the cover.

She has no hard feelings towards Brad and Angelina and says she’s proud of all that Brad Pitt has done for charity. In a weird twist of fate Pitt’s latest film is being released to theatres on December 25, 2008, the same release date as Aniston’s “Marley and Me.” Aniston says she hopes that both films do equally well and there’s no competition between the two exes.

Ok, she’s not exactly little Punky Brewster anymore but instead a 32 year-old gorgeous women. Soleil Moon Frye and her husband Jason Goldberg, a producer, pledged their love for one another on October 25, 2008.

The couple has been married for ten years and has two daughters together, Poet, 3, and 7 month old Jaggar. Soleil Moon Frye is now a co-owner of Las Angeles “The Little Seed” which is a children’s boutique with an environmentally friendly theme.

Aside from Brad and Angelina I can’t think of a more popular superstar couple right now than Barack and Michelle Obama.

Former American Idol contestant and hit country singer Carrie Underwood is reportedly dating Dr. Travis Stork who appeared on the reality show “The Bachelor.” On the show a variety of beautiful female contestants competed for the affections of the eligible bachelor and in the show finale he chose teacher Sarah Stone to be his girlfriend. The relationship didn’t last long and he has so far maintained his bachelor status.

The 36 year-old doctor and 25 year-old singer make an adorable couple. You can see Travis Stork on the television talk show series “The Doctors” where he is a co-host. Carrie Underwood’s latest CD is “Carnival Ride.”

Saturday Night Live comedian Amy Poehler, 37, gave birth to a baby boy on Saturday October 25. The baby was named Archie Arnett and weighed in at a healthy 8 lbs., 1oz.

Amy Poehler is well knows for her funny Saturday Night Live characters, Sally Needler, Netti Bo Dance, and White Trash Wife, just to name a few. She is married to Canadian born Will Arnett who stars in the television series “Arrested Development.” The comedic couple has been dating since 2000 and has worked together on occasion in hit comedies such as “Blades Of Glory” and “Horton Hears a Who!”

Poehler’s upcoming projects are ” A Snow White Boxer Movie” scheduled for release in 2009 and “Hoodwinked 2: Hood vs. Evil” in 2010.

Will Arnett is currently working on “Space Invader” and “We’re the Millers” which are now in production.
