Ellen Degeneres Announces Engagement

Ellen DeGeneres,50, and her girlfriend Portia de Rossa, 35, are getting married. The comedian broke the news today during the taping of the “Ellen DeGeneres Show.”

Yesterday the Supreme Court of California made the decision to allow same sex marriage. A fact that most likely fueled the sudden engagement announcement.

Portia de Rossa is currently starring in the television sitcom “Arrested Development,” created by Mitchell Hurwitz, and produced by Ron Howard.

There may even be an upcoming movie based on the show, rumor has it that the initial planning stage is already in the works.
