Robbie Williams might be disillusioned when it comes to dating in US’ Los Angeles by complaining that the city of angels is a bit tad “shallow and disappointing.” But it seems he found an American woman to embody the girl of his dreams through TV actress Ayda Field. Her first breakthrough came with the “Days of Our Lives.” She is also famous for her accents that swiftly change depending on the role.

The two are rumoured to be dating for nearly two months.

According to a source close to Robbie the actress didn’t have any idea that he is the famous singer from the other side of the globe even though she said in one of her interviews that she always frequents to Europe. Whatever. Robbie liked the fact that she “had absolutely no idea who he was.”

“He and Ayda went on a couple of dates at the end of last year but it didn’t work out. But a few weeks back they bumped into each other again at a party and got talking.”
“They got on really well and have been virtually inseparable ever since.”
“He hasn’t been this into a girl for a long time and they’re doing all the couply things like going to the cinema and watching DVDs at Rob’s house. He’s smitten and the feeling’s mutual.”

The problematic singer spent some months in a rehabilitation center in Tucson, Arizona to treat his addiction to the anti-depressant Seroxat and later interrupted the program in March explaining that it was boring and strict. His attempt to conquer America was not at all successful. Early this week he announced coming back to London. His last album, “Rudebox,” didn’t receive well by the music critics but he has promised to bounce back in 2008 armed with a new CD.

After his engagement with All Saints’ Nicole Appleton, who reportedly aborted their baby at the behest of her record company, shattered, the English entertainer has never found any serious lover except for some short flings. Famous of them all is Rachel Hunter, who appeared in one of his videos. Nicole, meanwhile, has formed a family with Oasis’ Liam Gallagher and their son Gene.

He blames the failure to his difficult personality: self-loathing and insecurity. Robbie has been diagnosed having depression for years.

However, the press and the sources didn’t mention how Robbie and Ayda will cope with the new situation, that is, if the singer is keen on returning to UK. It is doubtful that Ayda will do a Kirsten Dunst stunt just to be with her love. After all, her career is just starting to take off. As for Robbie, Europe still loves him and is waiting for his comeback.
