Patrick Swayze and Wife Linda are “Soul Mates”

Friday, January 9th, 2009

During the Barbara Walters special, “Patrick Swayze: The Truth,” Swayze, 56, called his wife of 33 years his soul mate. Their relationship is truly a romantic one, the couple met in a dance studio when Linda was only 16 and Patrick Swayze 20 years-old. The young couple had a great passion for dance, often dancing with one another. They may not dance together too often anymore but the two still share that special spark.

The Barbara Walters special aired on January 7, 2009 and is Swayze’s first interview since being diagnosed with terminal cancer of the pancreas. Patrick Swayze doesn’t want to let his cancer diagnosis and treatment to slow him down and he spent recent months filming a season of his new television series “The Beast” which he feels is some of his best work yet.

Patrick Swayze checked himself into the hospital on Friday January 9, 2009 after coming down with pnemonia. You can watch the full Patrick Swayze interview on Christy’s Coffee Break, but here is the video clip featuring Swayze and the love of his life Linda:

Tom Cruise Admits He Was Arrogant On The Today Show - Dec. 15 2008

Monday, December 15th, 2008

It’s been three years since Tom Cruise argued publicly with Today Show host Matt Lauer on the topic of post partum depression medication. The heated interview created a huge buzz that lasted for over a year and fueled rumors of Cruise being obsessed with his Scientology religion.

Now Cruise returned to chat with Matt Lauer once again and although he was there to promote his upcoming movie “Valkyrie” which opens in theatres December 25 2008, Lauer decided to focus in on the details of their 2005 interview. It looked like Tom Cruise was starting to get upset when Matt Lauer kept pressing for details and even mentioned his love for Katie Holmes throwing in a reference to the Oprah Winfrey couch jumping incident. But this time the actor managed to keep his cool and the interview was a success.

During the interview Tom Cruise mentioned seeing Katie Holmes broadway show more than a few times. But for the most part kept his family life and religious views private. Can you blame him? Everytime he expresses an opinion he gets attacked by the media for the next year.

Recently Tom Cruise “roasted” Matt Lauer and during the interview this morning Lauer said that Tom was as funny as a stand up comedian. So yes, it’s safe to safe they are friends, or at least not enemies.

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes fans might also be interested in today’s Oprah Winfrey Show featuring Oprah interviewing Tom Cruise in his gorgeous Colorado home. He clears up some longstanding rumors regarding he and Katie and shares quite a bit about his family and life.

Oprah Winfey Goes Public About Her 40 Pound Weight Gain

Wednesday, December 10th, 2008
Oprah Winfrey - December 2008

Oprah Winfrey - December 2008

Oprah Winfrey says she “feels like a fat cow” after gaining 40 pounds since 2006. She now weighs 200 pounds and is talking about her weight gain in the January issue of O Magazine which is now available on news stands.

Apparently Oprah is angry at herself because she knows what to do to keep the weight off but I think the talk show queen is being far too hard on herself. She looks great for 54 and has had a long, successful career. She knows she needs to lose the extra pounds and she’s not happy with the weight gain, that should be enough. But because she is in the eye of the public she has to explain herself.

It would be nice to see her longtime boyfriend Stedman Grahm step up and say something publicly on Oprah Winfrey’s behalf. Although the couple is very close we never hear Grahm’s opinion on any of Oprah’s very public struggles. I doubt he worries about Oprah’s weight issues as much as she does.

As well as her O Magazine confession, Winfrey will also be discussing her weight and her goal to lose pounds in the upcoming “Best Life Week” of the Oprah Show.

Gary Coleman and Young Wife Working On Marriage

Friday, November 28th, 2008

“Different Strokes” star Gary Coleman, 40 appeared with his wife Shannon Price, 22 on today’s (November 28, 2008) episode of “Divorce Court” with Judge Lynn Toler. This is the second time that the show has aired. The first time was on May 1 and 2, 2008.

If you haven’t seen this strange episode of Divorce Court yet, here are the show’s highlights:

When the judge asked whether or not the couple had consummated their marriage, Gary Coleman hesitated before answering somewhat. Coleman told the show that he and his wife have a mediocre sex life.

Gary Coleman is very unhappy about what he calls past failures and told the Judge that his “character has been assinated.”

Shannon believes that Gary Coleman is selfish and stubborn and says that she’s too young to know how to help Coleman with his problems.

The couple talked a lot about bills and money, feeling that “life’s struggles” are the main problem in their relationship. Gary Coleman is extremely focused on money and financial hardships and said that Shannon sometimes pays the bills for him.

The unhappy couple told the Judge that they’re both willing to change and do what it takes to improve their marriage. Judge Lynn Toler gave the pair an assignment which includes saying a daily montra for one week and learning to be more positive.

The Judge also invited the couple back to the show again in six months to see if they’ve made progress. She also said that she doesn’t want to see the couple on the cover of “People” magazine getting a divorce. Shannon Price vowed that they would never divorce and the show ended with Coleman and Price telling each other “I love you” and sharing a warm embrace.

The strangest part about Gary Coleman and Shannon Price’s Divorce Court appearance is that the couple has no intentions of getting a divorce. They are currently trying to work things out. So what are they doing on the show? I’m thinking maybe they got paid for their celebrity appearance, either way, it’s another 15 minutes of fame for Coleman.

Michelle Williams Bursts Into Tears at the Mention of Heath Ledger’s Name - The Newsweek Interview Highlights

Michelle Williams with Heath Ledger at the 2007 Film Independent’s Spirit Awards

Michelle Williams lost the father of her young daughter Matilda 10 months ago but the intense pain of loss is still very evident as she cries upon hearing Heath Ledger’s name in a recent Newsweek interview.

The couple had broken up before his death primarily due to Ledger’s problems with drugs. Not long after their break up Heath Ledger overdosed on a lethal combination of 6 prescription medications on January 22, 2008 at the age of 28.

The 28 year old actress told Newsweek that “grief is like a moving river” and “the more time that passes, the more you miss someone.”

Michelle Williams latest starring role is in the Independent film “Wendy and Lucy.” She is planning on taking a year off of work to devote her time to 3 year old daughter Matilda Rose while she begins school. Williams recently began dating 39 year old producer/director Spike Jonze. Jonze was once married to director Sofia Coppola but divorced in 2003.

Jennifer Aniston Opens Up On The Oprah Winfrey Winfrey Show

Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson on the set of "Marley and Me" movie premiering in theatres December 25, 2008

~ Jennifer Aniston and Owen Wilson on the set of "Marley and Me" movie premiering in theatres December 25, 2008. ~

Jennifer Aniston appeared on the Oprah Winfrey Show yesterday, November 13, 2008 to promote her 2008 holiday movie “Marley and Me.” Owen Wilson and Jennifer Aniston make a cute couple in the comedy which is based on the Marley and Me novel written by author John Grogan.

Aniston cleared up some recent rumors, setting fans straight. She has in fact reunited with boyfriend John Mayer but no, she is not pregnant. According to Aniston she is totally over the Brad Pitt era of her life which she refers to as “a hundred years ago.” She also doesn’t agree with the media’s take on her love life.

When Oprah Winfrey asked her what she thought about the media’s portrayal of her lonely love life the “Friends” star said that she felt she was actually very lucky when it comes to love, she also feels lucky to have such a large number of fans who care so much about her.

Jennifer Aniston admitted that she recently called what Angelina did “very uncool.” She told Oprah that when an interviewer from Vogue Magazine asked her what she thought of Angelina Jolie’s comments regarding Jolie and Brad Pitt’s future together while she and Pitt were still married, she just told the truth about how she felt. She did not expect her comment to end up on the cover of Vogue Magazine and said that it “wasn’t very vogue” of them to place it on the cover.

She has no hard feelings towards Brad and Angelina and says she’s proud of all that Brad Pitt has done for charity. In a weird twist of fate Pitt’s latest film is being released to theatres on December 25, 2008, the same release date as Aniston’s “Marley and Me.” Aniston says she hopes that both films do equally well and there’s no competition between the two exes.

You can find out more about the interview and watch the “Marley and Me” preview video here.
