Is Cameron Diaz in trouble because of Criss Angel?

All the while, the actress’ latest boy toy is still married. Well, secretly. That’s according to a Female First report.

For a month he was heard declaring his love for the actress even dedicating a deadly stunt early last month by “escaping from a locked concrete box 40 ft above New York’s Times Square” for the actress. Joann Sarantakos claimed that the magician was shielding her from the public.

It was documented that minutes before he did his death-defying act last month, he uttered: “This is dedicated to my new girl. You know who you are. I’ll be thinking of you.” And the following morning emerging from the box as he stood with his hand on his heart, he told the amazed crowd: “I’d like to dedicate this escape to my girl ‘Trouble’, aka Cameron. I love you, baby. Have a safe trip to Europe for your ‘Shrek’ tour.” (Source)

Though this is somehow doubtful. Cameron and Criss could have a little hanky-panky. On June 5 after breaking free from the cement block, he told Ryan Seacrest during a radio interview that he is just being a tease.

“I’m Greek. I tell everyone I love them.”

The illusionist whose romances include Minnie Driver and Paris Hilton said that he and Cameron “are just friends.” During a chat with his official fanclub, he insisted that he is not dating anyone at the moment because he is too busy for a relationship.

Now that a subpoena is realeased from the court, Cameron’s publicist denied that there was something between the two.

“Cameron and Criss met in May of this year. They went on four dates over a month ago, and do not have any romantic relationship currently.”

Indeed Criss is playing coy about his romance with Cameron until now, joking that the actress is too beautiful and talented to like someone like him.

“Cameron Diaz is one of the most beautiful actresses in Hollywood and so talented. She’s done a million movies. Take a look at me. Do you really think she’d be interested in me?”

Still his angry wife is not going to pass this up. Joann is filing for divorce and has accused the illusionist of having an affair with Cameron. She even hired a private investigator to see if Criss was being unfaithful and claims that their five-year marriage broke down when he became famous and started seeing the blonde actress.

But according to the magician’s IMDB biography, the two had already been divorced since early 2006.

Joann’s lawyer Dominic Barbara reportedly told Nassau County court that they named “Cameron Diaz as his lover. We will subpoena her as soon as she comes back to New York.”

It was alleged that Criss, whose real name is Christopher Nicholas Sarantakos and is Greek-American, kept his wife from the public to “further his career.”

Joann’s father Richard Winkhart was also angry at his estranged son-in-law:

“His personal life is an illusion. When his career took a jump forward, he became a different person. My daughter was never acknowledged as his wife. He told her it was better having a single image, than a married image.”

His wife has declared that she had been in an “abusive relationship” and refuses to pay her household expenses.

While Criss’ lawyer Elliot Weiner contested that there was no domestic violence.

“The notion that she’s not being supported is simply not accurate.”

On June 29, it was the first time he and his estranged wife’s family saw each other face to face. The latter was ignoring the magician throughout the proceedings but outside the court, Criss made a joke to Joann’s lawyer.

“I can make you disappear.”
Barbara replied: “I’m going to rip your heart out.”

Criss was heard saying that he’s fortunate to have Cameron as a friend. The two were spotted together in Las Vegas several times in May.
