Theirs is the story of a perfect rock-stars love team. They were good-looking, talented and famous. He was an Adonis fancied by thousands of girls around the world. Her career was taking off thanks to her clever catchy tunes such as “Stutter” and “Vaseline.” Outside of Britain they were mapping out their future. In Britain, they were the Beckhams, before Posh and David existed, of the emerging Cool Britannia.

It was a horrible experience as a celebrity and they became household names: Damon and Justine.

Their relationship was the fodder for tabloids. It helped to create the buzz but behind the limelight there was a problem.

In 1998, after a Southeast Asian trip to rekindle their relationship, they ended their relationship out of the blue and without a fuss.

As Justine Frischmann and her band Elastica released their second album, “The Menace,” in 2000 everything went down the drain. Damon Albarn’s band Blur released “13″ a year before.

The breakup inspired the songs in the album, mostly about Justine’s drug addiction and Damon’s struggle to move on.

Though she admitted that she touched drugs her depression was a mix of emotions towards her band members, the ability to bear success and the creative juice that wasn’t flowing anymore.

In a Guardian interview in 2002, she expressed her anxiety to be accepted by the fans.

“I do feel slightly like I’m having sex with the world at the moment, and I’m not sure if it’s going to like me in the morning.”

And she hated the fact that Damon, instead of talking to her and physically supporting her discreetly wrote songs about the breakup such as the singles “Tender” and “No Distance Left to Run.”

The first time she listened to “Tender” she cried. But Damon’s insistence for her to retire from music business to play down her personal problems didn’t help.

According to her, he told her that she’d demonstrated herself to be his equal and had nothing further to prove, and that she was unhappy because she wanted to have children, but wasn’t acknowledging it. She was angry about this, suspecting him of trying to reassert control rather than addressing her real problems.

Damon Albarn quickly moved on. He found a partner in the person of Suzi Winstanley and less than year of being together they had a child, Missy, who was born in October. She was to have named after Missy “Misdemenor” Elliot.

In 2004, there was a report that Suzi, an established wildlife painter along with her partner Oliver “Olly” Williams, gave him an ultimatum to stop his partying spree.

Lately, the moment I saw Damon again on Arte, a French-German TV channel, I knew that he already settled down. Devoid of vanity and superficiality, he surrounded himself with music, playing his passion and continually experimenting with sounds coming from different sources.

I was thinking, look at him, he doesn’t mind if he has a missing tooth and crow’s-feet. He was then asked by the crew of Arte’s “Tracks” what’s keeping him busy, his latest adventure. He then expressed about his new project: Peking Opera, cartoon, and circus onstage.

Gone were the days of the childlike battle with Oasis and the flirting with fame. After the years of the confused ’90s, Damon, lead singer of Blur, Gorillaz and The Good, the Bad and the Queen, has settled down.

In one of The Good, The Bad, and The Queen singles he dedicated the song “Northern Whale” to Suzi.

The eight years of love he shared and nurtured with Justine might be over but that’s all behind him now.

You know the saying “if it rains, it pours”? There you have it. If you notice my sporadic updates, I am having difficulty with my internet connection. It might be wireless but it is so darn slowwwww and sometimes it implodes in the middle of the session that I end up not posting anything anymore. Like a few minutes ago.

Surely, this could be Scarlett Johansson’s thoughts after she allegedly handed over a gold-coated wisdom tooth to her boyfriend Ryan Reynolds.

The actor celebrated his 31st birthday on October 23. E Online reported that the young actress feeling festive and, perhaps, poetic treated . Scarlett Johansson gave boyfriend Ryan Reynolds her wisdom tooth for his birthday.

Tooth? Yeah, a tooth! In gold! Why waste it, right?

The young actress was rumoured to have held an early celebration for him at Los Angeles’ Chateau Marmont hotel last week the day after she was at Elle Magazine’s 14th Annual Women in Hollywood event. Reports said that Scarlett presented him with her tooth, which had been dipped in gold and made into a necklace.

A source told the gossip network that the actress just “had her wisdom teeth removed, so she had one dipped in gold and strung on a necklace for him.”

Scarlett also flew to Canada with Ryan to meet his parents. Now it isn’t clear if if they are talking about engagement and marriage. His family and Scarlett also organised another special treat for his birthday.

Apart from the birthday bash she allegedly paid for Ryan to have a full body massage with all of David Beckham’s bodyguards present.

But Scarlett’s representative couldn’t confirm this.

“Scarlett was out of town for Ryan’s birthday but she gave him a gift this weekend in private. There was no one else there.”

But the tooth as a gift is original though. If it is romantic then it is up to the one who receives it as an act of love.

Reese Witherspoon, 31, and “Rendition” costar Jake Gyllenhaal, 26, were spotted in Rome getting intimate–holding hands and even cuddling in public.

Now that the actress’ divorce has been finalised, she is ready to bring her much-speculated relationship to the next level. That is, not being afraid to show the world that they are in love.

In the beginning doubts were cast on their relationship. One reader cited the tabloids’ penchant for gossips saying that the actor just laughed it all off when he was asked about his love affair with the ex-Mrs. Ryan Phillippe at the recent film festival in Toronto.

Now, pictures of the two show that they are indeed a couple.

It is claimed that two began dating this year after getting close on the set of “Rendition,” which officially opened last week.

Reese and Jake successfully kept their relationship away from the curious public. Threwere rumours and eyewitness accounts that they were seen together in Los Angeles. It was a date at the restaurant Il Sole in March where Reese and Jake were spotted “being playful” to each other.

However, no enterprising paparazzi ever got the opportunity to snap the two proving that they were indeed lovers. There were speculations that they were just friends. But recently, Reese hinted that Jake is indeed someone special.

She described the actor, who formerly dated Kirsten Dunst, “cute” and “great” from Ellen DeGeneres’ show admitting her fondness for him.

In June, the two reportedly cooled off citing Reese’s major priority–her children. Sources close to the actress revealed that her affair with Jake was “over.” She wanted to concentrate more on her children–Ava, 7, and Deacon, 3. It must be part of the divorce proceedings. That is, to get the full custody rights.

Now that she is officially divorced and single, it is easier to entertain new love. As amatter of fact, they look great together.

The press purportedly called former Mrs. Cruise boring. Mainly because she doesn’t propagate reports of insanity unlike the young celebrities of today where being outrageous is the norm. Nicole Kidman is always this prim and proper and professional actress we know all along.

She doesn’t engage in wild sex, you don’t catch her in parties without her knickers on, or she doesn’t open her mouth full of b–s–t. Instead what we see is a reluctant diva adorned in designer clothes standing all by herself.

Maybe a part of its is because she isn’t American? Unlike her ex-husband Tom, whose fascination with himself is tremendous, Nic’s marriage to fellow Aussie Keith Urban, though gossiped and revered, wasn’t as big as the wedding’s of Tom and Katie Holmes.

Though Keith’s drug and womanising problems almost tore them apart, Nic stands by him and hopes that love will lead their way. After 90 days of being married in June, the country singer immediately went to rehab on the behest of his missus.

In a recent interview conducted by US Magazine via Daily Mail, she admitted that she is yearning to be a mother. And that her relationship isn’t always that happy. Or so it seems.

Love isn’t a guarantee that they will last long. When asked that they always appear together:

“You never know where something’s going. My husband and I are committed to each other and deeply in love. That’s how I would put it. We are working on staying in that place and hopefully we will for the rest of our lives.”

She also added that she doesn’t have to broadcast that they are having problems as it isn’t the public’s business to find out.

Her recent Vanity Fair interview, which angered Tom, also revealed her innermost thoughts, concerning her marriage with Tom and that she had a miscarriage. At 40, Nicole aches to have her own children.

“I’m yearning to have one. I think I would be very sad if I wasn’t able to have a baby. Keith knows I want one, and he has been getting there slowly. My husband really wants a couple of years, he said, ‘Where I just have you.’ So it’s kind of romantic. That’s what we decided.”

Now that Pamela Anderson is officially Rick Salomon’s third wife, his ex Paris Hilton is said have dating Kid Rock, Pam’s second husband.

Pam revealed to OK Magazine that she is “fulfilled” in every aspect of her life. The Baywatch star is in loved with the man who beat her from playing poker.

Someone I know, an acquaintance, has married her lover after less than a year of being divorced. It is for me too fast.

I am not sure if I am the only one who thinks like this. Of course, I understand her actions. You’ll never know if he/she is the love of your life unless you try.

Starting Saturday, she has married twice. Not that there is something wrong with that.

Marriage and divorce have become synonymous with the modern lifestyle. And if you are thinking that it is the fault of the celebrities for making them ordinary. You are wrong. The holder of the multiple marriage belongs to a church man and he goes by the name of Glynn Wolfe. He was a baptist minister who resided in Blythe, California. He got married 22 times because he feared living in sin.

The celebs’ lives are always highlighted by the media. They portray them as super-humans who more or less get and do what they want. Even bad publicity is always good publicity. In turn, the public is so taken by them that they forgive their status.

It isn’t their fault. Marriage has become cheaper these days. That’s all.

I am now declaring the list of actors and actresses who fell in love going to the altar, those who aren’t tired of saying I do.

1. Zsa Zsa Gabor- nine times, her shortest marriage was one day to a Mexican actor-lawyer. She has currently been married since 1986 (21 years), by far her longest marriage, to Frederic von Anhalt, who was said to have been adopted by a German princess. When the controversial porn actress Anna Nicole Smith died, Frederic claimed that he fathered her daughter Daniellyn, due to the money she will inherit, and was in a relationship with her for a decade.

2. Mickey Rooney–8 times, the shortest was 100 days the longest was 22 years. One of them is Ava Gardner, who later mentioned that their love life was like Mickey’s movie “Love Finds Andy Hardy.” When the actor uttered emotionally about Ava’s performance in bed, Ava was known to say, “Well, honey, he may have enjoyed the sex, but I sure as hell didn’t.” The two divorced due to Mickey’s partying ways in 1943.

Lana claimed to have said actor Tyrone Power was the love of her life though they never married.

7. Joan Collins, five times, the actress and novelist apart from marrying several men also enjoyed affairs with Conrad Hilton Jr. (who married Elizabeth Taylor and the sisters Paris and Nicky are his grand-nieces), the then 18-year-old Dennis Hopper, Ryan O’Neal, Terence Stamp and Warren Beatty.

The battle might be over soon between Sir Paul McCartney and Heather Mills. According to Daily Mail, the two are aiming secretly to agree a divorce deal worth around £60million before a High Court judge.

And in order to avoid the attention the former couple and their lawyers will attend a one-day hearing “at a location unusually moved out of the Royal Courts of Justice.”

After the ugly scenes, Heather, surprisingly, is expected to agree on the lump sum Sir Paul has offered. The figure is £15million (30 million dollars or 21 millions of euros).

He also has to look after their four-year-old daughter Beatrice, paying for her expenses (schooling, travel, nannies, etc.) until she turns 18. Aside from that Heather will also receive between £3million and £3.5million annually.

Not bad for Mrs. Paul McCartney who was on the musician’s side for only four years. It was speculated early that the ex-model and now reality show actress would receive between £57million and £64million. In spite of the hefty amount, she won’t receive any property from the agreement.

Perhaps, Sir Paul doesn’t want anymore of the media coverage. The war between him and Heather turned ugly since they separated. Apart from verbal abuse that got printed on the papers and gossip magazines, there were a lot of diggings from their past (especially Heather’s when she posed nude for a German magazine for men) and accusations of domestic violence.

Sir Paul doesn’t mind paying out his ex-wife to “prevent Heather airing the reasons for the split in public,” dissuading her to come out with a memoir and or an autobiography in the near future.

Lately, Heather is trying to court the media when she appeared in the US TV. Early this year she became a contestant in a dancing show for celebrities.

It is good to know that he is enjoying the rest of his life. As we all know celebrity divorce gets really messy and costly. He might want to get over it and move on with his life.

Now, Page Six reported that the two are the new couple in Hollywood. Spies of the tabloid related that the two were “very touchy-feely,” during the New York Film Festival.

On Saturday night, the couple showed up with Bono, who recently accompanied the Spanish actress in Saint Tropez and had become a buzz when the they were too intimate for their own good.

Take it from Catherine Zeta-Jones’ mother-in-law, the actress Diana Dill David and Kirk Douglas’ first wife, who married again by the time she was 80.

Marriage is like precious jewelery. If you can’t afford to lose it then you have to take care of it. Or better yet, don’t wear it.

Diana might be referring to her daughter-in-law’s expensive gems. She warned Catherine she must only wear things she is prepared to lose. Catherine took this as an advice to her marriage.

Accidentally, the Welsh actress is the current model of the luxury jewels house Di Modolo.

“I carry a lot of jewellery with me, but I often get worried something is going to happen. My mother-in-law says that a woman should never put something on you can’t afford to lose.”

Catherine and actor Michael Douglas have been married since November 2000. Recently, while the actress worked on the American remake of the German film “Bella Martha,” “No Reservations,” there were reports that she and costar Aaron Eckhart became close that stung the relationship with her husband. I won’t judge the music they make but the two are having a good time despite rumours and controversies that Marc is just riding on his wife’s popularity. Perhaps La Lopez has found the man of her life. Perhaps, their two egos, err careers, have found the way to complement each other. They have been together for three years and JLo is still content on his side. Compared to her two previous husbands, who have become tragic characters, this partnership will go on for the longest time.

Yesterday, the couple did a concert at New York’s Madison Square Garden in front of raving salsa and pop fans to their delight. Dubbed “Juntos en Concierto” (Together in Concert), the couple wowed the audience also last Friday at Verizon.

The choreography was done all the same inspired by their biopic “El Cantante” where Marc played as the troubled salsa legend Hector Lavoe, and Jennifer as his wife Puchi. The film was released last summer.

La Lopez had several wardrobe changes. Critics also noticed her careful dance steps.

Marc, on the other hand with his chest opened for the audience to see, appeared in a smoke-filled extravaganza. Jennifer’s choice of robes might severely baffle the public with news of pregnancy, overweight and all. Her gold lame empire dress cut on the thighs would fuel more speculation of her being a mother-to-be.

Still, La Lopez never confirms nor denies it. In fact, why should she when it isn’t our darn business, right? Only her husband, through his publicist, dismissed the baby rumour.

JLo might have learned her lessons well. The couple bears an average interest of public attention unlike when the actress/pop singer was still with actor Ben Affleck, who recently admitted that his relationship with the diva was a bad career step. She might be more careful now, has gone more mature. Most of all, she keeps her life with Marc really free from prying eyes.

“You don’t have to go where everybody goes; there are a million other places that are great. From the day Marc and I met we’ve always had amazing chemistry, but the timing has to be right. We established early on that our relationship was not for public consumption. When we’re out there, it’s ’cause it’s part of our work, but you won’t catch us hanging out at some random place with paparazzi following us ’cause we don’t let them. Okay, okay. So not another post of the famous Hollywood couple, Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt.

The two were spotted on the streets of Manhattan, New York, last Thursday. Young Maddox’s school, the exclusive Lycee Francais, is just located there. This time the actress was wearing all black and beige ballerinas compared to her beau’s grey outfit.

Despite ugly reports that they are going separate ways, the two simply manage to appear very much together. In one photograph Brad showed how gentleman he is by opening the door for his love.

They might not hold hands in front of the paparazzi’s expensive cameras but can you tell me is this the picture of a troubled couple?

Recently, Angie told Cosmopolitan (via Entertainmentwise) that she only had sex with four men and married the two of them. Still, doubting Thomases couldn’t believe that the actress is telling the truth. She is often portrayed as a sex bomb, a man eater, who can break your heart whether you are a man or a woman.

We know the chapter between her and ex-lover Jenny Shimizu, who is very sure that her attachment to Brad is just a facade and that in the end she would return to her old wild ways.

Apart from her new L.A.M.B. collection, which she launched last month during the New York Fashion Week, she is doing concerts to support her latest album, “The Sweet Escape.”

Gwen is about to take over the Viennese stage on October 17 in Stadthalle and she sat down with the staff of Woman, a Viennese fashion/style women’s magazine, talking about her newfound fame, her inspiration, her family. Most of all, she gushed about her wonderful son Kingston James and why the partnership between her and husband Gavin Rossdale isn’t perfect like other couples.

In the interview she also mentioned that her role model has come all the way from Austria, the Viennese nun who became the governess of the legendary singing Von Trapp family from Salzburg, Maria von Trapp.

“Every time I wouldn’t know what to do or when to start, I would always listen to ‘The Sound of Music.’ They told me: Follow your dreams, look forward, and trust yourself!”

She also confessed that she dreamt of having babies when she was a teenager and was praying that ex-boyfriend Tony Kanal would hear her wishes. Sadly, it didn’t happen as Tony needed his space and she ended up brokenhearted.

And that during the trying times when they discovered that Gavin was the father of Daisy Lowe, the two were separated for a little while.

When asked if she gets to miss Gavin while she is on tour, hearing each other’s voice is the most important thing. She is confident that he readily understands the demands of being a musician.

“We see each other now and then. Calling each other often is very important. Gavin knows the touring lifestyle and he finds the right words whenever I am powerless and depressed from having concerts.”

But she quickly asserted that son Kingston relieves her of woes.

“Then I cuddle with Kingston a bit and look what is he up to, how he laughs over simple things and learn his new discoveries, the bad mood suddenly disappears.”

Ben Affleck has said it. Jennifer Lopez was bad for his career.

Now I am not sure how to interpret this but now that it is over he sounded like he was blaming the girl.

The “Bennifer” phenomenon, coined by Ben’s friend Kevin Smith, was huge so huge it took over their careers.

It all began when the two starred in the ultra-flop “Gigli” in 2002. What came next was an excessive flaunting of their devotion to each other in public combined with multi-million dollar presents told and shown to the press. Of course, the press loved it and the public too. The two were consumed with this attention. Soon they found themselves trapped and they wanted to change it.

Only it was all too late. The planned wedding didn’t happen and in 2004 Ben and the singer broke up.

Recently, he revealed to Details that “it was probably bad” for his career resulting to not being taken seriously by studio executives.

“What happens is this sort of bleeds over from the tabloids across your movie work.
You go to a movie, you only go once. But the tabloids and internet are everywhere. You can really subsume the public image of somebody. I ended up in an unfortunate crosshair position where I was in a relationship and (the media) mostly lied and inflated a bunch of salacious stuff for the sake of selling magazines. And I paid a certain price for that.”

Now, Ben is happily married with another Jennifer and has a daughter Violet while JLo and third husband Marc Anthony are still expecting to have one.

True. Marriages come in cheap these days. Celebrities aren’t exemption. While the mother of them all Elizabeth Taylor is rumoured to marry for the ninth time, separation news between Pink and her husband Carey Hart still persists in spite of what seemed to be a fine one night.

First take this. According to TMZ.com, Pink was said to have given Carey a sensuous lap dance in a California bar to dispel rumours that their marriage is in trouble.

She allegedly sang “Killing Me Softly” “at a Venice Beach karaoke bar while treating her motocross star husband to her sexy moves” last Sunday night.

“They looked very happy and very much in love. People are saying their marriage is on the rocks, but it certainly looked good from where I was sitting.”

Now this.

The singer was overheard telling her friends that she needed some time off from her husband of 21 months. One source close to the singer claimed that everything’s not rosy.

“Pink was out with a table full of friends and telling them that her and Carey just wasn’t working anymore. She told them, ‘We’re just not getting along anymore. We each need our space. We need our distance. It’s not like it was when we first started.’ “
