I am still reeling from sickness (flu and colds) that clouds my mind. Nevertheless, I am excited to give you the latest happenings in the Tinseltown when it comes to celebrity couples.

“The Darjeeling Limited” hasn’t landed yet to Austrian shores but is breaking news in the United States. One of the leading actors Adrien Brody was spotted at the French restaurant La Grenouille together with his girlfriend, the Spanish actress Elsa Pataky on Thursday.

The polyglot beauty, whose mother is from Romania, speaks English, her native tongue Spanish and is also fluent in French and Romanian. She accompanied Adrien to New York to attend Louis Vuitton’s exclusive dinner to honour “Darjeeling” director Wes Anderson, the one who is responsible for the epic “The Royal Tenenbaums.”

The two hooked up in 2006 after Adrien broke up with his then girlfriend of three years Michelle Dupont. During this time the award-winning actor was rumoured to have dated Keira Knightley. His breakthrough came in 2002 for his superb portrayal of the Polish-Jewish pianist Władysław Szpilman, a Holocaust movie “The Pianist” directed by Roman Polanski. Not only he won an Oscar won an Oscar he was also the first-ever American actor to have garnered its French equivalent, Cesar Awards.

After more than a year, Adrien and Elsa are still very much in love.

The Italian Casanova has been dead for more than a decade but his contribution to arts and cinema should not be missed by a cinéaste.

Nothing is better than spending the days watching good old movies from the ’60s and ’70s when you are sick and bedridden. At least, that’s what I did. Digging the stories and films of the Hollywood heyday where artists from Europe and America collaborated to bring us quality works.

“I am afraid of women. I am so sad that I have lost her. I never found unhappy moment I spent in her arms. Still I cannot understand how love like that can be over within a week. It was my fault. Work was more important than her. Faye flew to Madrid, met another man there. I was forgotten.”

Last week buzzy bees reported that newly single Heath Ledger was dating Danish supermodel Helena Christensen.

Almost all news wires and gossip sites referred to Helena’s new lover as Heath. The Australian actor broke up with Michelle Williams, his costar from “Brokeback Mountain.” But Austria’s Kurier would like to prove that the supermodel’s supposed-to-be boyfriend just shares an uncanny resemblance to the actor.

The rumoured “couple” was said to have had a romantic dinner on the 11th of September. Witnesses said not only they were so intimate, Heath was even a gentleman holding the model’s bag.

A fellow diner told the New York Post newspaper: ‘They were making out throughout the dinner. Later, he even held her bag for her as she did interviews.’ The smitten pair then went to the after-party for Naomi Watts and Viggo Mortensen’s new movie ‘Eastern Promises’ at the Soho Grand hotel.

The two were at the first row of the latest Marc Jacobs’ presentation in New York’s Fashion week. But they were not seen together. Helena’s “new” lover was seated next to the model, who wore an immaculate white. She was also spotted talking to Carmen Electra and Elisa Cuthbert who were seated beside her.

The actor sported a yellow T-shirt with a kookie print on it and was photographed with Debbie Harry. During the show he enjoyed the company of R.E.M.’s Michael Stipe and actor Vincent Gallo.

The actor might be searching for a new flame right now but you’ll never know. Nevertheless, they could be a perfect match. Both of them don’t really mind the age of their lovers, how wide is the gap, et al.

Helena was seen dating Josh Hartnett and Guy Berryman, Coldplay’s bass guitarist. She even ended a one-year affair with Jack Huston, who was rumoured to have dated Diane Kruger.

On the other hand, Heath has had a longtime affair with Naomi Watts, who is 10 years older than the actor.

They say, one can see the intentions of a man based on his antics. And Johnny Borrell, the wannabe rock ‘n’ roll singer, whose band and talent are not yet creating a storm, certainly has ambition. He knows how to catch a big fish!

The Sun caught him partying with UK’s rising socialite Camilla al Fayed. The brunette heiress of Harrods and daughter of its owner Mohammed al Fayed and the singer partied at the China Tang at The Dorchester hotel “before being seen making off together.”

The writer quipped that she might have been impressed that the Razorlight singer “won most stylish male at the GQ awards.”

Either way she seemed happy to stay Up All Night and party with him.

Ex-girlfriend Kirsten Dunst dumped him due to his untidiness and machismo complex. Camilla probably wouldn’t mind any of this mess. She is known to have dated oil heir Brandon Davis too.

Hello Magazine praised her sense of style insisting that she is no Paris Hilton. Her self-styled pharaoh dad might not be amused.

It is all about the bump and the loosely fitted green dress.

Apparently, insiders claimed that pop singer Jennifer Lopez could have been on the way. Last week, speculations arose when witnesses saw not only the Just Sweet collection of the singer (and now fashion designer) but also the round tummy during the presentation in New York, a part of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2008.

The Latina, who expressed her wish to join Spice Girls on tour, and her husband Marc Anthony are expecting a baby.

In Touch Weekly (via FemaleFirst) through its “insiders” said that the couple will be proud new parents next spring.

“The test calculated that she was about 12 weeks pregnant. She’s due in the spring.”

It isn’t a secret that the 38-year-old would like to have her own brood. For years, she and her husband have been trying for a baby for years, including asking for medical help.

Successful and popular, what a life it would be without children to share wealth, right? The IVF treatment was reportedly so successful they may now even be expecting twins.

“The way the foetus is lying made it difficult for the doctor to tell if there was more than one baby in there.”

In a few months, we’ll see if the medicine world has helped the two.

Socialite Nicole Richie, 25, and her musician boyfriend Joel Madden of the band Good Charlotte, 28, might hit the church soon. But they are not hurrying. According to Joel, there is no need to worry but right now, the priority is the baby.

He disclosed to Ryan Seacrest on his KIIS-FM radio show Tuesday that “marriage is part of his “master plan.”

“Obviously, marriage is in our future. I don’t know when or where or how, but right now our priority is our family and is the baby. That’s all we’ve been thinking about. We are in love and are really happy.”

I am not sure if to take this news in stride. Or just shrug my shoulders. Because for the nth time Ryan Gosling and Rachel Mcadams are no longer a pair.

The Canadian twosome who rose to the Hollywood ranks of dream couples after filming the dreamy yet cheesy “The Notebook” ceased to be a couple again. That’ according to Austria’s society magazine Seitenblicke, which cited its report as exclusive. It confirmed that the rising star is again off the hook after they conducted an interview with him promoting his new comedy “Lars and the Real Girl,” which the editors of the klatsch und tratsch Magazin noted that there are bits of parallelisms between his real and his reel character. Both have to fight the “single blues” in their lives. The magazine said.

In April this year rumours said they were even engaged. And then it was put off when reporters overheard Ryan telling his pals that they broke up.

We hear that “The Notebook” true-life couple Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams have split. A pal of Gosling’s was overheard asking the actor, “Where’s Rachel tonight?” at the Los Angeles premiere of “Fracture” Wednesday. Gosling responded, “Don’t you know? We broke up.” A rep for Gosling refused to comment on the actor’s personal life.

So don’t believe the hype unless you see pictures of Ryan and/or Rachel hooked up with someone else!

And what you do for love is incredible. Look what Kirsten did in order to conquer rocker Johnny. She flew to North London to live with the rock singer not minding the household work and making herself comfy in his rock ‘n’ roll flat.

Theirs was a whirlwind romance. What the public has witnessed in May this year, however, didn’t last long.

The two are rumoured to have been separated since August. And now the Razorlight singer confirmed and cited the differences between him and the young actress. Mr. Borrell is the typical man and Kirsten is the modern woman.

The singer doesn’t believe in sharing the house chores and would love to hand over these tasks solely to the woman. Moreover, the musician’s slob lifestyle didn’t match the actress’ cleanliness and glamour. He told Contactmusic.com (via Seitenblicke, in German) why.

At first he was blunt over his machismo complex.

“We were leading different lifestyles. It’s over. She believes in equality, that a bloke should chip in with the housework. Fair enough, but I’m messy. She couldn’t stand the smell of stale fags (cigarettes), beer and kebabs in her nice living room. Can’t say I blame her really.”

Later he tried to justify that he was just darn busy and it was the reason for his reluctance to help out the actress.

“I’ve been incredibly busy recording our latest album and I’d be rolling in at all hours, when she’d be getting up to go on set. I’m very much a night owl, and she’s up with the lark. She’s a really cool girl and she loves London and Britain. It was just one of those things.”

Johnny might haven’t heard the word “compromise.” Perhaps, he is too creative for the actress. His own band mates complained that the singer cannot contain the flowing of his creative juice. They urge him to go solo. I guess that’s what he does best.

Seitenblicke, Austria’s society magazine, reported that it won’t be long till we see a single Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin again. Ok! Magazine also wrote about the actress’ less-than-enthusiastic way as soon as she discussed her husband and marriage. (via Hollyscoop)

During a recent four-hour trip to a salon, Gwyneth spoke about Chris for “less than five total minutes, always quickly changing the topic to her kids Apple and Moses.” Those present also say she seemed very “vague and unenthusiastic” during those brief seconds when her marriage was discussed.”

Talk about different priorities. When Gywn put down her career and prepared herself to be a mom, it seems that Chris had a different agenda. And that’s making music.

After daughter Apple was born, the actress told everyone that her family was her absolute priority defending her husband then.

“My husband is a musician, who is incomparable with other normal husbands.”

The audience hasn’t seen too much of the couple either sharing intimate looks or visiting public events. Therefore, Gwyn and Chris are heading to Splitsville.

It is not the first time the couple had a row and the press took a notice. In 2005 just before their son Moses Bruce was born, there were rumors that the pair was on the verge of breaking up. This happened after the restaurant scene where tension between the two exploded.

The anti-feminists would have a field day reading Madonna and husband Guy Ritchie’s exploits. Imagine, they could finally prove their absurd theories about the myth between career woman and housewife? That feminism destroys the traditional women role (taking care of the family and the house) and emasculating the men. Or the equality between a man and a woman is against the nature.

Personally, I am grateful that women’s emancipation exists. Thanks for all our grandmothers, mothers and aunts who exerted a great effort to make this concept a reality.

Discrimination against women unfortunately happens even in the most successful country. But, there’s a strong but.

As much as I despise physical violence among the female population by their partners or the unfair treatment of the society towards them, I don’t find it admirable when they, just because they are women or the one who brings home the bacon, treat their men like nothing. Anyone who treats a human being like dirt regardless of sex is not worthy at all.

I am not saying that Madonna has a habit of belittling her husband. Or Guy has a problem with a successful woman like the trend-setting superstar slash pop icon slash one-time fashion designers, and so on and so forth.

She must have huge sense of humour and he isn’t hurrying up to take over the world even though he has three projects in a row.

Talks persist that these two people have a problem on who wears the trousers in the family. And the press loves spotting these troubles. Daily Mail is one of them.

For all his mockney posturings, Guy has always felt slightly inferior about his wife’s massive earning power and domineering nature. Madonna on the other hand is said to enjoy occasionally bating him on that point. And this latest birthday gift - a strap-on - is, it seems, no exception.

A photographer snapped the couple coming out from the fashionable Claridge’s Restaurant to celebrate Guy’s 39th birthday. Madonna was spotted carrying a see-through bag and inside is Ann Summers Purple Penetrator (a sort of strap-on dildo). I might as well name this: Battle of the Exes.

“Baywatch” babe Pamela Anderson was, perhaps, amused watching her ex-husbands fought like a kid, whose candy has been taken away from them. In this case, it was their inflated ego that needed to be pierced.

According to the news, the Motley Crüe drummer picked a fight with Kid Rock at the Las Vegas ceremony of MTV Video Awards on Sunday night after Tommy reportedly muttered something to Rock as he walked past his table.

However, he denied that he started it.

“I was minding myself and then he goes and punches me on the cheek. I was trying to be the bigger man, but he was acting childish. I was ready to go in the alley and kick his ass. I was about to put Kid in the emergency room when security grabbed me. They said, ‘If you move, we will break your arms.’”

Pam’s two ex-husbands were pulled apart by security as Tommy was escorted straight out of the venue.

A witness, rap producer Rich Nice, said that It looked like Tommy instigated all the scuffle.

“It looked like Tommy initiated the fight because Kid was ignoring him. Tommy started to antagonise Kid, and then when Tommy stood up, Kid hit him first with a backhand. Tommy looked like he was trying to aggressively retaliate and then Kid hit him again. Security then grabbed Tommy in a headlock and pulled him off.”

Later, it was Kid Rock’s turn as the Las Vegas Police Department to interrogate him. It seems the two have been at odds ever since Kid hooked up with Pam. In January this year, an incident occurred when Kid was up and ready to punch Tommy’s face.

So he went over at 6 a.m. with two bodyguards, and began kicking down what he thought was Tommy’s door. Only it wasn’t - and Kid found himself staring at some poor, startled family. He signed an autograph for them as security arrived, then bolted over to the Paradise strip club.” Bloodshed was avoided, but Lee - in Vegas to play The Joint with his band, Rock Star Supernova - should watch his back. “Tommy has been calling Kid Rock and taunting him about Pam, and Kid Rock was ready to kick some serious ass,” a source said.

It was not revealed the reason they argued. But let’s just say: That’s entertainment for you, folks!

It was sad to hear that the Maestro died at the age of 71.

When Luciano Pavarotti visited the Philippines to perform in the 1990s, the authorities installed a large screen outside of the Folk Arts Theater so those who couldn’t afford to pay would be able to see him and be awed by his voice, his ability to hit the high C, in which he was popular of. It is known that not every professional tenor singer can do it.

It was a nice evening. People of all walks of life congregated and the outside premises were full. His way of making it into the pop culture was admirable. He showed that classical music isn’t at confined to upper echelon of the society, in which everyone could enjoy and relish.

Not only he performed well, he was also seen with pop singers and was even friends with the deceased Princess of Wales, Lady Diana. Most of all, his founded his yearly Pavarotti and Friends to raise money for humanitarian cause.

His own website is reduced to a black and white border with the quote saying in English and Italian: “I think a life in music is a life beautifully spent and this is what I have devoted my life to.”

It was reported that as his health deteriorated his relationship with his second wife, Nicoletta Mantovani, 37, also did.

She was Luciano’s producer. They have lived together since 1996 and was married on December 13, 2003, at a ceremony in Northern Italy.

Though the opera star’s dietologist, Professor Andrea Strata, mentioned that it was nothing but a usual husband-wife argument.

“It’s all very sad… he isn’t even cold in his tomb yet and now all this is coming out. I don’t want to say too much, but let’s just say that with every husband and wife there are always things going on and Nicoletta and Pavarotti were no different from any other couple.”

He was close to Pavarotti. While his wife, Franca, revealed that Nicoletta was in frantic when she found out the missing papers for their properties in New York. It happened a month ago when the opera star was taken to the hospital and the seriousness of his pancreatic cancer became obvious.

There were reports that he also changed his will favouring his daughters from his first wife, Adua Veroni. They lived together for more nearly 40 years.

Luciano’s daughters–Lorenza, Cristina and Giuliana–however, were upset over the rumour that they are fighting over their father’s 250-million pounds of property fuelled by Italian and British new agencies. Cristina read a prepared statement over the Italian state yesterday.

“We know that in Italy, as elsewhere, false news and idle inferences that involve us are coming out. This is causing us bitterness.”

Luciano also has a daughter with Nicoletta, the four-year-old Alice.

For a million-selling star like the opera star, the question is: Are they only in it for the money?

Tobey Maguire married his longtime love Jennifer Meyer, who is also the mother of his 10-month old daughter Ruby Sweetheart.

The couple went to Kona, Hawaii to tie the knot for a sunset ceremony on Monday. Only a small group of family and friends, including Leonardo DiCaprio and Lukas Haas, witnessed their exchange of vows.

The pair first met in 2003 while Tobey was shooting the movie “Seabiscuit” at Universal Studios. The actor and Jennifer, an accomplished jewelry maker and the daughter of Vivendi Universal Entertainment CEO Ron Meyer, became engaged in April 2006. Her collection has been worn by noted actresses such as Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, among others.

Tobey admitted that being a father has made a difference to his life surrounded with the superficiality of Hollywood:

“I’m at that stage where I have to start thinking about where I want Ruby to grow up and go to school … Even though L.A. is pretty laid-back, maybe it would be a good idea to try a different, less ambitious kind of atmosphere.”

Whatever it is, it seems that Tobey has found the magic of having his own family.
