Does the sight of the Spanish actress Penelope Cruz and the U2 singer, without the missus, holding hands cause someone to raise his left eyebrow? Is Penelope Cruz Bono’s latest apple of the eye? Are they really lovers? How about Bono’s wife for 25 years Ali Hewson? Are they now separated?

Surely, these questions would come into a person’s mind. We heard Bono sang about his wife and his little family. Has Penelope replaced Ali as his “Sweetest Thing”?

According to Ms Cruz, Bono is her “hero” and admits that she in awe of the singer’s commitment to save the world. The two were allegedly seen strolling down the beautiful and trendy resort of St. Tropez where they reportedly holding hands. Bono’s wife Ali was nowhere in sight. Officially, Bono and his family owns a villa in Alpes-Maritimes, which they shared with U2 band mate The Edge.

“He is so powerful yet so human. Seeing him investing all his time and effort is something to admire. He’s changing the world.”

Not only the two shared some cosy walks but the actress partied with the rocker last week in the noted French Riviera causing some wild rumours to spark.

Yet the two weren’t alone. Bono and Penelope shared a yacht with Helena Christensen among others. Also on board are Bono’s daughters, Memphis Eve and Jordan.

Bono’s significant other Ali commented in 2002 about her relationship with the singer saying that theirs is based on “mutual respect”:

“When he’s garbled and broken I help put him back together and he does the same for me.”

Like Bono, the less than photographed Ali also shares her husband’s passion: political and environmental activism. Recently she also added fashion entrepreneurship to her sleeve launching her own line of clothing. I wonder if her achievements yet Plain Jane looks isn’t enough for the singer.

Bono and the actress have a lot of of explaining to do.

Some split before they decide to walk down the aisle. Others cancel their wedding plans. For instance, R&B singer Usher and Tameka Foster. But a few managed to hold on to their relationships like Eddie Murphy and Tracey Edmonds.

After the heady Eddie’s paternity test proving that he fathered Spice Girl Melanie Brown’s daughter, Angel Iris, there have been rumours that the two might have a falling-out. Though the producer ever denied this noting that this doesn’t alter the way she loves the actor and insisted that they were very happy.

“The paternity test had no impact on our relationship.”

Last Wednesday the actor confirmed through his publicist that they are now engaged.

“Tracey and Eddie were engaged last Wednesday,” says the rep. “Tracey and Eddie are both very much in love and are excited about spending the rest of their lives together.”

OK! magazine speculated that the two have been engaged after mentioning the diamond ring on Tracey’s left ring finger as soon as the couple stepped out at the July 23 premiere of “Who’s Your Caddy?” But the proud 46-year-old actor just said: “No, this isn’t an engagement ring. If I were gonna do an engagement ring, it would be much bigger.” Emphasizing a half-dollar-sized circle over his finger.

New parents Liev Schreiber and Naomi Watts named their first born Alexander Pete Schreiber. The actress welcomed their baby last Wednesday. According to the news, the couple’s first child weighed in at eight pounds and four ounces (3.74 kilograms). The birth took place at a Los Angeles hospital around 3.59 p.m., local time.

Reports of Naomi giving birth only surfaced on Friday via the couple’s publicists. The two actors are not known to flirt with the media and are very careful in hiding their love life.

Last month Liev even made a joke that they were already married much to the dismay of the press. For the meantime, Naomi and Baby Alexander are resting comfortably in the hospital, close to the couple’s Brentwood, California mansion.

New Yorker Liev is undecided where to raise his little family. He admitted that they are still working on it. Naomi is British-Australian. So far Sydney is included on their list.

“We’re working on it. We’re still sorting through it. New York is my home and my inspiration and where all my work is. It’s a hard place to live, but it’s also such a big part of who I am, I can’t imagine anything else. But you get into a relationship and you have to be flexible.”

Kate Moss is scared, so scared that she fears her intimate life–captured in video–with Pete Doherty will be in the wrong hands. Most of all, someone would make money out of that fragile relationship.

Everybody is pointing his finger at Pete.

According to The Sun, the pair armed themselves with a camcorder everywhere they travelled. This worries Kate, who found out that there are two tapes missing. Dubbed their video diaries, most of them are mementos of their being together.

They captured hours of material of special occasions, antics on the tour bus and even behind closed doors at home. They took the camcorder on a holiday to Ibiza earlier this year and also recorded themselves at Glastonbury Festival.

It was claimed that Kate destroyed six of the eight tapes after they had a messy breakup.

A source revealed: “There are still some bits and pieces floating about of Pete with Kate. She has got rid of most of it. Six out of eight tapes have been destroyed.
“But she wanted to bury the lot before he could humiliate her by selling them or putting them on the internet.”

Though they should be private some clips ended on the net like the infamous video where the couple was caught in Kate’s Cotswolds home, Pete strumming on his guitar, making up a song and the model dressed in a see-through gown trying to sing backups while uttering “fuck” in every line.

Tis the problem when you thought you are John and Yoko. Funny thing is Kate and Pete are not.

“It was fine when they were together. Kate thought it was romantic — all a bit JOHN LENNON and YOKO ONO.
“But Kate could then obviously decide with Pete what was going to be made public.”

Now Kate is concerned that if Pete could write details of her intimate moments with Kate through his published diary-essay “The Books Of Albion,” the model is unsure about the way the troubled singer of Babyshambles could handle their remaining tapes.

Kate is now moving house and is currently taking shelter in the mansion of Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood.

After surviving the wedding hoopla, Eva Longoria and Tony Parker have been spotted leaving Cafe Med Sunset Plaza Drive, an Italian-styled restaurant in the heart of LA, yesterday. Every press person lauded the couple’s way of playing with the media, that is the way Eva handled and managed their nuptials like a real A-list star.
Hopefully, their marriage wouldn’t be a Tinseltown cliche and wouldn’t end up as one of the most expensive divorces in the Hollywood history.

Rumours are flying that the former lovebirds are trying to revive their affair. The Australian singer and the French actor have seen hanging out in Paris in recent weeks. But they have managed to avoid the gaze of the paparazzi.

Though the two are still in love with one another Kylie Minogue has laid down some of the conditions on the womanising actor to ponder on.

In a span of three months, the 41-year-old actor must prove that the singer is really the one for him. First, he clearly has to make up his mind by settling down and should take no chances by proposing to the singer. Most of all, there will be no other women but her.

“Kylie has said to him that will have been a three-month trial, and he has to make up his mind pretty quickly whether he wants to marry her,” the friend said.

Jennifer Aniston alarm?

The Daily Mail is trying to warn Victoria Beckham of the perils of the vast availability of prominent women in Hollywood. The newsbit might be trite. Knowing David Beckham’s history of cheating on his wife, the soccer star doesn’t have to look at Hollywood. If he’s out to shag other than Posh, he could shag his assistant or the nanny of his children or just anyone. Do you still remember his Dutch-Anglo-Spanish PA Rebecca Loos? The glamour model and ephemeral celebrity mentioned that she is happy for the Beckhams and she has never been the detrimental instrument in saving their marriage.

“The only people who can save a marriage are the two who are in it.”

The UK tabloid specifically has warned the comebacking Spice Girl to be wary of the enchantment of Hollywood. One of the prominent actresses who wanted to see a piece of the British lad is none other than Jennifer.

Jennifer Aniston is just one of many women who have purchased a season ticket to watch David’s LA Galaxy team. Entire rows of seats have been booked up months in advance, despite the team’s 3-0 drubbing by Mexico’s Tigres UANL last week.

Apart from the former “Friends” star, others who showed their support or curiosity are Jennifer Love Hewitt, the newlywed Eva Longoria and Mary Kate Olsen.

Curiosity or not, they want to know what’s the deal with this David Beckham with all the fuss and all. After all his wife managed to befriend one of the power couples, the Cruises, in the Tinseltown. Certainly one can view this as symbiotic in nature.

It is not at all surprising. The Beckhams need the charm of the Cruises for their American stay and, in turn, Tom Cruise needs all the love of the Europeans in order to be accepted in the other side of the Atlantic. It is the case of those who hang out with them are hoping some of their fame will rub off on them.

That also means the Beckhams have to stomach Hollywood’s tricky twists and turns now that they have decided to air their lives for the larger audience to see.

But should Victoria be worried of the Jennifer danger? Well, Jennifer knows the feeling of someone being cheated. I definitely won’t agree that her fascination to British men include David. Oh, well, what do you think?

Courtney Love is spending her time with comedian Noel Fielding. On her birthday concert four nights ago at the Bush Hall in West London celebrating her 43rd year, Noel was spotted getting chummy with the singer.

The two were seen hailing for a cab after the show. This is not the first time Courtney dared to get close to the comedian. Last Christmas she tried to hook up with him only to be dissuaded when Noel told her flatly that he had a girlfriend, Dee Plume of electro band Robots in Disguise. But rumours suggested that the two broke up due to Noel’s flirtations. Though he categorically dismissed it. Nope, not because of Courtney but because of Pixie Geldof.

The family has been spotted doing their grocery in Los Angeles. Gwen is looking good as ever and so is her hubby as well as their 14-month-old Kingston. I salute Good for not complaining or whining. He’s not intimidated if his wifey gets all the attention.

Last Sunday, Victoria Beckham and David Beckham startled the media with their appearance at the British Grand Prix as guests of Formula One team Honda. David even mentioned his wish to drive the fast car but got worried of his trusty golden legs.

“I would love a go in one of these cars but I don’t think I could get insured.”

The couple is also reported to have appeared sultry sexy for the August issue of W magazine. Alive on newsstands July 20, photographer Steven Klein projected the couple “in various states of undress–kissing passionately, sunning themselves atop a car and having an intimate moment in the bedroom.”

P Diddy, also known as Sean Combs, and Kim Porter just couldn’t make it for another decade.

The rap mogul’s publicist told the media that he and longtime girlfriend Kim are not an item anymore. This came after P Diddy refused to confirm the break-up reports were not true.

“Diddy’ spokeswoman Keesha Johnson announced the news yesterday, five days after the rapper/designer blasted rumours of a separation.

New York Post’s Page Six via People reported that Kim, the mother of Diddy’s children–Christian, 9, and newborn twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James, left the New York City apartment she shared with the rap star.

Though P Diddy has been romantically linked to actress Sienna Miller, their publicists commented that the split didn’t have anything to do with her.

“There is literally nothing between them,” the rep told PEOPLE last week. A rep for Miller also said that “reports of Sienna being linked with P. Diddy are categorically untrue.”

The couple shared a stormy relationship ever since they got together in the ’90s. P Diddy upon meeting Kim for the first time admitted that she was different from the other women he encountered citing she made him nervous and was intimidating. There was a time during their many separations when Kim went to court demanding the rap mogul, whose fortune of $346 millions earned him the richest person in hip-hop, to pay child support for their son Christian.

“She kind of made me nervous. She wasn’t like a New York girl. She was Bohemian, mixed with Georgia-peach hospitality. I got the idea she’d like doing stuff like walking barefoot in the grass. I didn’t think I could get her to like me.
“She was smooth, you know, like ice. She’s cool and collected and thinks before she speaks. You meet a lot of young ladies, and they just don’t do that. Kim was never pressed; she was always in control.”

In 2001 he and with Jennifer Lopez got together while making the latter’s first album. After two years P Diddy reconciled with Kim.

There was no reason the two separated this time. P Diddy is known to shy away from marrying Kim and confessed that he didn’t have any intentions to marry her as he was still struggling to be a “good boyfriend.”

“It’s not a reflection on how much I love Kim. It’s that I’m just learning how to be a good boyfriend. When I’m finished with this step, I’ll move on to the next.”

Looks like there will be no more wedding bells between the two in the future.

Okay, “Jackass” might be a popular TV show in the States and some parts of the world. Coincidentally, it made a celebrity out of Johnny Knoxville, a.k.a. Philip John Clapp.

The papers filed at the LA Superior Court cited irreconcilable differences between the “Jackass” main man and his wife of 12 years, Melanie Lynn Clapp. The 36-year-old Johnny is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their daughter, 11-year-old Madison, whose name he has tattooed across his chest. He has offered to pay an unspecified sum of child support.

They were married on May 15, 1995 and got separated a year ago on July 17, 2006.

He was previously rumoured to have an affair “Dukes of Hazzard” co-star Jessica Simpson, who was married to Nick Lachey at the time.
