Enrique Iglesias is set to release his latest album, the first in four years. Contrary to rumours that he has split up with former tennis star Anna Kournikova, his on and off girlfriend for five years, the singer told Hello that it is only a fekking joke.

His “We’ve split. I’m single now and it’s OK. I don’t mind being single” statement backfired or had been taken out of context.

Even though the two live in separate locations, he insisted that the press misunderstood him. But The Sun is stubborn and still holding on to its story after it published the breakup a while ago. This time Enrique related how he has suffered from insomnia, which incidentally the title of his new album, for years.

“It is the first serious relationship I’ve had in my life.”

Obviously, Enrique, whose mole is suddenly gone, is doing what it takes to promote “Insomnia,” which is slated to be released next month. He just came out with a silly single called “Do You Know (The Ping Pong Song).” And as silly as it can be he has come out with absolute silly pronouncements the last few days just to be able to stimulate the buzz surrounding his album.

It has been awhile ever since Enrique has landed on the Billboard’s Top 10 with his catchy, dare I say average, pop songs. And one will wonder if Anna was a real professional tennis player. I wonder the instances she has spent on the field and the amount she is on the cover of swimsuit/tratsch klatsch magazines or in the middle of a product ad campaigns. It is a wonder that these two still manage to land on the Gossipland just because they are pretty and have lots of money.

I can only guess that Shakira has bonded totally with her future parents-in-law. Inés Pertiné confirmed to Latin American press that the Colombian pop star is set to marry her son, Antonio de la Rua, in September this year.

The electrifying Shakira, 30, and the 34-year-old Argentinean lawyer, who was voted Argentina’s most eligible bachelor by some gossip magazines, have chosen the singer’s lavish mansion in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic to celebrate their nuptials.

According to the news, she would like the Argentinean designer, Maria Pryor, to do her dress.

Shakira declared in press conference a few weeks ago that September is the ideal month for marriage since she will set to finish her “Oral Fixation” Tour that time.

In addition, the Colombian also admitted that to marry and to have children with his fiancè is one of her lifelong projects.

Shakira and Antonio, son of former Argentinean president Fernando de la Rua, have been together for seven years. The two even bought and share a house in Miami, where he is seen regularly.

I might have earned my first hate comment a month ago after a fan was truly convinced that their favourite Pacey Witter off “Dawson’s Creek,” aka actor Joshua Jackson, and the German beauty Diane Kruger ended their one-year relationship after the latter was seen hanging out with Anjelica Huston’s nephew Jack.

Well, well, well, it looks like the two are still together. And, yes, I admit I am no Perez Hilton because I rarely use him as a source. Freaking Austrian gossip sites.

The photographers caught a glimpse of Diane and Joshua holding hands as they headed to the cocktail party hosted by Alberta Ferretti, a famous Italian designer and dressmaker, yesterday at Cannes. They joined noted Italian stars and other celebs at the yacht.

Diane was this year’s Cannes’ master, dare I say mistress, of ceremony. She handed the much coveted Palme d’Or to Romanian director Cristian Mungiu for his movie about abortion, “4 Luni, 3 Saptamini si 2 Zile (4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days),” together with Jane Fonda.

“I don’t want to do a white-trash wedding with a big belly.”

Milla Jovovich has admitted after finding out that she is four months pregnant. She and longtime partner Paul W.S. Anderson, producer and director, decided to put their wedding off. It was reported that the two were planning to tie the knot this year. They were engaged in March 2003.

Even though the marriage is cancelled the Ukrainian-born model has no qualms increasing her weight. After all, it’s all about the baby. The 31-year-old Milla admits she cannot stop eating and even enjoying every part of it. And it doesn’t matter if it is unhealthy.

“I starve for unhealthy things and I cook like mad–steaks and these potatoes I have learned from my mother.”

If she does not cook or worries around the business, she puts her nose into books.

“I have spoken with friends, who have children. I begin pregnancy yoga and I have read many books. Including ‘Coping with Preschool Panic’ (in it the readers are prepared how to fight for the best preschool availability for children in L.A.).”

These days not only Milla is proud showing her protruding tummy but also what she and her friend Carmen Hawk have achieved after launching their own designed collection of clothes last month. A limited edition is also for sale at the Mango stores.

This will be the first child for both Milla and Paul, who began dating in 2002. The two met when they did “Resident Evil.”

The festival in the southern part of France is taking the heat these days.
Tagged as “world’s most famous film festival and its largest film market,” the Festival de Cannes has been with us for over 60 years, not counting its false starts before the World War II, it has witnessed the careers of the international actors made or ruined. Films are screened and still racing to earn the Golden Palm (Palm d’Or).
On its eighth day, press has uncovered the actors prowling solo (or their chaperones undetected) and getting the attention. But most of all, the celebrity couples who attend together and present themselves in front of the star-gazing public.
And now, I present to you the last-seen celebrity couples in pictures.

The newlyweds and Bollywood’s darlings, Abhishek Bachan and Aishwarya Rai, appeared together after their extravagant wedding in India. They attended the screening of Wong Kar Wai’s “My Blueberry Nights.”

The French director Claude Leloch and the Italian actress Alessandra Martines have been together since 1993. They have one child. The German-Romanian actress Alexandra portrayed Annik Honoré, Ian’s Belgian mistress. It is an adaptation from the book of Deborah Cutis, the late singer’s wife. Sam is a singer of an indie band while Alexandra has earned quite an accomplisment in her hometown notably with “Der Untergang” (Downfall), which tells the story of Adolf Hitler’s final days in the bunker.

The power pair Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt attended the screening of “The Mighty Heart,” which unfortunately out of the competition.

Billy Zane is currently dating British model turned actress Kelly Brook whom he met on the set of “Survival Island.” After the film was released, the couple tried unsuccessfully to remove Kelly’s nude scenes. In 2006, they announced their engagement.

One of Hollywood’s enduring relationships, Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell have been together since 1982. The two reconnected on the set of “Swing Shift” having worked previously in 1968’s “The One and Only,” then later in “Genuine” and “Original Family Band.” They have a son, Wyatt Russell, who is now in college. The family has chosen Vancouver, B.C., Canada as their domicile. Why divorce is an ugly monster?
Not only there is that endless battle who will get the children, the money and the pride, but also the former couple’s respect to one another starts to fade away.
Take for instance Reese Witherspoon, 31, and Ryan Philippe, 33. Since Reese has separated from the actor last October we are going to see the aftermath of that ugliness now that Ryan officially asked the court for visitation rights on the couple’s children Ava Elizabeth and Deacon Reese, requesting it to be equally allocated, according to E! News, which obtained copies of the court documents.
Though the actor wanted his kids he has not requested any spousal support from Reese, who earns significantly more than Ryan and is considered to be one of Hollywood’s highest paid actresses.
The lack of prenuptial agreement thereof entitles Ryan to 50 per cent of Reese’s fortunes.
How sad that their love story would end up like this. It started with a romantic setting, during Reese’s birthday party.

“I met him at my 21st birthday party. I don’t know what came over me, maybe the seven Midori sours, but I told him, ‘I think you’re my birthday present.’ He thought it was so flattering, and now that I think about it…how embarrassing!”

It is unfortunate that the two will forever refer to their marriage as the past.

Buzz No. 1: Is it true that Good Charlotte’s Joel Madden dumped Nicole Richie?

Does that mean the engagement reports between the two are just uhm, rumours? There are speculations that the pair split up after six months of being together. This hapened after their recent trip to Australia, having attended the MTV Australia Video Music Awards.

Sydney’s Daily Telegraph newspaper insisted that a source witnessed “Joel was acting like a single man at the awards after party and the couple openly argued in front of the crowd. Nicole was in tears at one stage, but no one really knows why.”

It seems that rocker Joel doesn’t want his girls to be too clingy and Nicole is one. The two were said to be planning to get marry. But Nicole, either a respect for her father Lionel Richie or not at all confident that it would be a a right decision, decided to wait. The two met a few weeks after the tattooed singer broke up with another princess, Hilary Duff. They were together for two and half years.

Buzz No. 2: Is Mick Jagger going to make an honest woman out of his latest girlfriend?

L’Wren Scott is an American stylist, fashion desgner and a former model. No wonder Mick doesn’t have any problem liking her. She is also tall and massive, another plus. Standing at 6 feet and 4 inches, the old rock star would have melted kissing his girlfriend struggling to reach her lips.

Guardian gathered from the UK tabloid Daily Mail that L’Wren might join Mick’s roster of past wives. The tabloid printed a picture of the stylist at some fashion event in New York wearing a huge engagement ring on her finger, fueled with the comments made by some unnamed sources close to Mick: “Mick’s really not the sort to have some kind of engagement. If they were going to get married they would probably just do it. Yet it is interesting that L’Wren has on this occasion - a very public event in New York - decided to wear a ring on engagement finger so obviously.”

Buzz No. 3: Why did Amy Winehouse refuse to talk about her marriage?

The moody R&B/soul/jazz British singer dispelled rumours that she would like to marry Blake Fielder-Civil in front of a group of six friends in a secret ceremony.
“No, it’s not true. We’re just chilling out, having a good time. We only just got engaged.”

But her publicist Tracey Miller just confirmed to People that the two got married in Miami on Friday. They have been engaged since April. Since then Amy has been seen wearing a diamond ring from Tiffany’s. Blake was spotted lately in a clothes-altering shop for the suit, which he would wear for the wedding, The Sun reported.

Amy was heard saying: “I hope to be with him for the rest of my life.”

The pair’s relationship has been documented as being stormy. They started dating more than two years ago but there were ocassions of splits and reconciliations. If this will last, only the couple knows.

Buzz No. 4: Does the new Marilyn Manson’s video contain real sex between him and Evan Rachel Wood?

The first time I saw Evan on the screen she convinced me. She portrayed this wily, rebellious teenager Tracey from the critically acclaimed “Thirteen.” She earned a Golden Globe for her acting and has noticed by the press. In fact Guardian praised her for being mature beyond her years. In the article the home-schooled Evan claimed and was even described as “laid-back.”

I just have to come back to reality a little bit, have a real life. I’m pretty laid-back. I hang out with my friends, read, go to concerts and try and travel as much as I can. The full-length video of the first single “Heart-shaped Glasses” featured the 38-year-old Marilyn cavorting with an almost 20-year-old Evan. Though their nakedness were covered by their own body parts cascading into one another, it cannot be proved if the sex was simulated or not. Though there were suggestions that it could be real. Marilyn insisted that Evan should be paid highest figure ever for a music video.

Don’t fret and don’t expect too much on the merits of the video. It is dark, yes. The sex is even described by Rolling Stone as “apocalyptic.” But you know Rolling Stone? Evan was accompanied by the Suicide Girls. In order to be cinematic Marilyn reprised his role as a semi-porn actor. Compared to his nanosecond appearance in “Lost Highway.” This time it was longer.

Don’t laugh but I enjoy watching Eva Longoria’s bitchy yet down-to-earth character on “Desperate Housewives.” In short, her character is so effective I cannot imagine if she must be the same in real life.

Hey, I mean, it is nice to know that she is going to be married with Tony Parker, the man she loves, and getting friends with her future mom-in-law, the Dutch-born Pamela Firestone, a former model, but apparently not too many people are happy solely due to her frequent change of mind and perfectionism, thus organising her upcoming wedding has become a nightmare.

A source said: “The wedding is still very much on, but Eva is creating a lot of work for everyone.
“She changed the flowers three times and her dress has been altered a couple of times.
“Then there’s the guest list, which is constantly under revision. I think everyone involved will be glad when Eva finally ties the knot.” Source

And before we, average human beings, assume that “don’t hate me because I am beautiful” Cameron Diaz has come back to Justin Timberlake due to a wet smooch at the premiere of “Shrek 3,” the 34-year-old actress did not. Recently she was seen dating illusionist Criss Angel. The other day, she was even linked to Uma Thurman’s ex-fiance, the American-Hungarian hotelier Andre Balazs and was heard to be determined to make her relationship with Andre work.

Seems to be there’s no truth to the story as The Sun reported that Cameron, who is again sporting a blonde mane, was spotted out “arm-in-arm” with the magician in Las Vegas as they visited a Cirque de Soleil show. Or, could it be the neo blonde Cameron enjoys shopping around for a new man? Let’s face it, she says she is beautiful. She can do whatever she wants.

It was said that the actress was smiling and seemed to be happy, as opposed to the magician’s former girlfriend Minnie Driver, who was rumoured to be devastated to hear that her man was snatched by Cameron. But I doubt it as the two have ended their affair already last November. The magician flirted with Paris Hilton that lead him and Minnie to break up.

Minnie has never been lucky in love. An urban myth is circulating round the internet that Minnie’s former love Matt Damon dumped her via his announcement on Oprah Winfrey Show. Her engagement with Josh Brolin also went down the drain in 2001 due to Barbra Streisand, Josh’s stepmother.

Meanwhile, Cam’s former longtime boyfriend Justin allegedly went a wee bit public with “please take me seriously because I am an actress” Jessica Biel by flying her to UK on the singer’s European tour. Justin was both linked to “The Illusionist” actress and Scarlett Johansson. He hooked up with Jessica at the Golden Globes early this year, less than a month after his split from then gf Cameron. One source told The Mirror, “Justin’s really into Jess and when he found out she had some free time he asked her to join him on the U.K. leg of his tour. They’re both doing everything they can to keep their relationship low-profile but when they’re among friends they can hardly keep their hands off each other.”

It is game over for actress Denise Richards and Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora, who broke up about two months ago, Denise’s rep confirms to the US press.
It was a decision Denise undertook after a long-year battle with the photographers and the press, which painted her as the evil homewrecker and a bad friend.
This week an article in Glamour came out describing of what she felt on the whole brouhaha. In it she disclosed her misgivings, her painful divorce with Charlie Sheen and her affair with Richie.
The actress reiterated that there was any truth that she ever stole the rocker from Heather Locklear. And that her friendship with the “Melrose Place” star was on the verge of breaking before she toyed the idea of hooking up with the guitarist.
After deciding to separate from Charlie, the actress remembered that both public and the press were kind enough to show their support until she ended up with Heather’s former husband. It broke her heart, she said.

A year later, when I started dating Richie [Sambora], I was on the cover of every tabloid again. But this time people weren’t so kind. Suddenly, the world hated me. I was called a husband stealer and a backstabber in the press—and I can’t even repeat most of what was said about me on the Internet. Even an acquaintance of mine said, “You look like you enjoy the attention you’re getting.” I was like, are you kidding me? Do you honestly think I want to be on magazine covers for this? I was devastated. It felt absolutely horrible to hear those kinds of things said about me, and there were days when I just lost it and cried.

Still she didn’t want to elaborate what caused the rift between her and former best friend Heather. And no, it wasn’t because of Richie.
She insisted that she wouldn’t ever discuss it to protect their children. Denise went particularly sour on how the press treated her.

The first time Richie and I were photographed together, we were on his balcony, overlooking a private beach in Laguna. Apparently there was a photographer a quarter of a mile away, in the ocean. The next day, I got a phone call from my publicist. She said, “They found out about you and Richie.” From that moment on, 10 cars full of paparazzi followed me around at all times. For two months, the story was on the cover of every tabloid, with headlines like “Denise Steals Heather’s Husband” and “Betrayed!” Paparazzi were climbing over the fence to try to get shots of me inside my house. I had to hire a security guard to live with me and I kept the shades down at all times. It was awful.

She also described on how the press tried to manipulate her life.

In May, Richie went on tour in Europe and I decided to go with him. The paparazzi not only found out about it and followed me to the airport, they even got on the plane with me! When I got there, they were waiting at the hotel. They were everywhere. And the text that accompanied the photos was horrible too. If I was smiling and playing in the park with my kids, the caption would read, “She’s a press hound; she trots her kids around town for publicity.” If I looked serious, they would say, “She’s miserable; she’s depressed.” There were so many times I wanted to open my mouth and say, “That’s not true!” But I couldn’t, because I was trying to handle things privately. The worst part was hearing people say what an awful person I am. I don’t think I’ll really ever be able to completely describe what that period of my life was like—I’d never felt worse.

She also explained her sudden outburst when the paparazzi went overboard.

Finally, I couldn’t take it anymore. I was in Vancouver shooting a movie when I was involved in a terrible incident with a paparazzo. From what I remember, he had already photographed me and asked for another photo. I said, “If I give you a couple of pictures, will you stop shooting and allow me to focus on my scene?” He made a nasty remark and launched into derogatory comments about my family. That was it for me: I just snapped. I grabbed his laptop and threw it over a balcony, where it landed on the ground. You can imagine what they said about me in the tabloids after that.

At the moment the photographers who are suing Denise didn’t support her story. As the actress was undergoing “awful” handling from the papararazzi she found an unlikely friendship from “Blonde and Blonder” co-star Pamela Anderson, who defended Denise writing in her blog: “If it were me I would’ve thrown the photographers over the edge – they got lucky.”

She also implied that “there are two sides to every story.”
Still she would like to stay as Richie’s friend. Early this year both of them revealed that their parents were suffering from cancer. Last month she attended the funeral of Richie’s father.

Sienna, who wore an airy tunica under black leggings, held Jamie’s hand as her lover lead her to the trendy bistro.
Meanwhile, the British actress and Keira Knightley who are starring together for “The Edge of Love” provoked their film crew by planting a “racy kiss” on each other off the set. It was initially reported that the reason Lindsay Lohan backed out is due to lesbian/threesome scenes that are rumoured to be included on the screen.
Film publicist Emma Davie said: “Yes, it’s true, Sienna and Keira have kissed but it won’t be in the film. It was done as a joke on Monday, the first day of filming. Sienna and Keira thought it would be funny to do it and we cannot believe the press missed it. They did it at the end of the day when it began to rain. The paparazzi must have gone home by then.”

I am back! Did you miss me? At last, my son is wayyy much better after his battle against 40+ fever that lasted for almost a week. He didn’t get any measles, which at first I thought he did judging from the red blisters on his skin. The mommy in me was ultra-worried that both of us didn’t get enough sleep.
Anyway, I missed posting here. And every day there’s always news that should be included.

Over the weekend reading the Saturday paper I was intrigued with Kylie Minogue’s newest dalliance. I might not be her fan but as a woman I could feel her anger and disappointment with a lover who couldn’t control himself of prowling on other women. Plain and simple. That’s why I am pretty sure that it must be a relief and a great courage on her side to release French actor Olivier Martinez from the commitment.
But it seems that Ms Minogue doesn’t learn her lesson. It seems that she has the tendency to fall on “bad guys.” Is this a fetish? Or is this something like a challenge for her that is attracting womanisers on the loose? Does she think she could reform them upon the sight of her? If this is true doesn’t she think of the consequences with it? First, she will just ruin someone else’s life. Second, she doesn’t have any mercy with the pregnant wife. Last, she will just suffer.
The Daily Telegraph has come out with an interview with the wife of the alleged Kylie’s new lover, the South American director Alexander Dahm, and was begging the astray husband to come home again.
Not to mention that Laura Dahm is eight months pregnant. Does thing ring a bell? Do you still remember the love affair between Billy Crudup and Claire Danes and how did they break the heart of then preggy Mary Louise Parker.
Guys like these two are, I am sorry but for the lack of a proper word, idiots.

A distraught Laura Dahm, eight months pregnant to film director , has broken her silence to say she has no choice but to believe her husband after he told her he was not having an affair with Minogue.
And as she begged her husband to come home, Daily Telegraph Online readers have warned the popstar to keep her hands off.
“It has been a week of hell,” Dahm said.
“I am supposed to be enjoying the last few weeks of my pregnancy, getting ready for our baby.
“Instead I am crying and constantly on the phone begging him to come home as he is being accused of sleeping with one of the world’s biggest stars.
“He has begged me to believe him that there is nothing between him and Kylie and I have no choice but to believe him.”

The South American director is a serial womaniser. He “has had flings with a Hollywood actress and a South American TV writer before breaking their hearts and leaving them both stranded.” He even told one friend that he and Kylie “have been having a telephone romance since we met,” according to Sunday Mirror.
Meaning, he is a player. And a player, according to psychologists and experts from an Ebony article, “suffers from low self-esteem and needs the companionship of many different women to feel good about himself. Some men live to conquer women. They need to define themselves as an attractive, irresistible ladies’ man to feel worthwhile. Their self-esteem is so poor that they always need to be bolstered. One of the ways for them to feel bolstered is by attracting a woman and then winning her over, sexually. After the woman submits, he disappears.”

Dahm, 39, claimed Minogue wanted to visit him at his home in Mexico City but he was worried it would upset his wife.
So last week, four months after they met, the pair headed to the Chilean holiday resort of Vina del Mar.
Worryingly for Mrs Dahm, it is a place where he has taken many women before for past dalliances.
“It’s a place where he has taken many beautiful women before,” said a former girlfriend who asked not to be named.

Kylie denied that it wasn’t true and was even “offended” by the allegations that simply put her into a bad light. Her fans are concerned that the Australian pop singer will just hurt no one but herself in the end.
Someone should advise these women to dump the womanising director before he impregnates his wife again and his future mistresses.

Hopefully, Sir Paul wouldn’t turn out to be one of those toxic bachelors. The former Beatle slowly reignites himself by coming back to life and meeting women. His latest object of affection: The British sexy opera star Natasha Marsh. Sir Paul spotted the 31-year-old opera singer at the recent Classical Brit Awards.

He was overheard telling a friend “she is very sexy”, and later arranged a date with the blonde singer.
“Macca’s jaw hit the floor when Natasha walked past in her slinky dress. He sort of nodded as if to show his approval and whispered to his friend that she was very sexy. He couldn’t take his eyes off her and was smiling when she went up to perform. He looked smitten,” The Mirror quoted a source, as saying. Source

Natasha uncannily resembles Sir Paul’s soon-to-be ex-wife. A spokesperson for the opera singer confirmed that the two met and that Mr. McCartney “was very impressed by Natasha.”

“Sir Paul asked to be introduced to Natasha afterwards, he was very impressed by her. They met in the dressing room area and talked for ages. He took away a copy of her album, ‘Amour.’”

Meanwhile, his fling with the beer heiress and ex-rock chick Sabrina Guinness is only on a friendly basis, the latter commented when asked about the dates the couple had over two months ago. She was even thinking of suing Hello for making a big deal out of it. Even Sir Paul insisted that there was nothing going on between him and the heiress.

“I realize everyone wants to see me with a new bird right now, and that’s very flattering. It’s not really a big thing. We have known each other a long time.”

Anyway, Paul’s latest single, “Dancing Tonight,” is creating a sensation. There’s a speculation that it is his way of making a sarcastic take on his ex-wife’s latest adventures, that is Heather Mills’ decision to join US show “Dancing with the Stars.”

“There’s obviously some concern that because of the title, it will be seen as a sarcastic reference to Heather,” The Daily Express quoted the source, as saying.
“But Paul had the title planned before he knew about Heather being on that show. This is just an unfortunate coincidence.”

Anna Netrebko, touted to be Maria Callas’ successor, is again single.
Because of her immense talent and gorgeous looks the world of classical music has said to be an exciting genre again. She combines pop culture erotic charm with an elegance of high art because of her hold to media and her taste in haute couture. So no doubt that in Europe her name goes side by side with, ekkk, Paris Hilton (I am sorry but I guess some people must know that no one should be above the law).
Anyway, the Russian-Austrian soprano is reported to have broken off her engagement with Italian baritone Simone Alberghini, according to Österreich, a new Austrian newspaper.
Anna, who has been named as one of Times’ 100 most influential people, confessed that because of her career she doesn’t have anymore time for marriage, which hurt her former fiance.
She’s currently playing as the temptress Manon in Berlin’s Deutsche Staatsoper and is the toast of Opera all over the world. Rumours circulating that she and her costar Rolando Villazon, a father of two, are playing more than their parts on stage.
The engagement took seven years before Simone revealed to public that he and the opera diva are over. Simone sat down with the paper and exclusively told them his heartaches:

“Anna and I decided to put our relationship on hold. We were nearly a pair for seven years and have recognized that each one needs time for himself, to be able to concentrate on our jobs and private lives.”

Still he insists that they are friends and have a strong affection towards each other.

“We telephone each other nearly each day and we remain the closest friends.”

The Italian singer still hopes for a happy end.

“We go momentarily our separated ways.”

Rumours of separation started already in 2006 when the two were not seen attending official events together. When Anna was seen in Austria, her new country, gracing the opening of fashion shop Escada, Simone sang alone at the opera in Lisbon. At that time the two were officially engaged, the baritone commented that he didn’t believe with the relationship anymore:

“I do not believe any longer in the fact that we will ever marry. To be a man at Anna’s side needs much self-assurance. Thanks to God I have it!”

Meanwhile, when asked, Anna surprisingly gave away cooly:

“I live alone. My friend Simone lives in Bologna. Sometimes he accompanies me, otherwise our relationship takes place only in the telephone. Whether I will marry, I do not know yet. I love my life the way it is.”

And she quickly added:

“Even if he looks marvelous, Simone is not actually not my type!”

Everyone pinpoints at her sudden success and the long distance love affair.
When the two met each in the 1990s, Anna was a nobody making her way to the ladder. In 1999 the two got engaged. But in 2002 came the production of Mozart’s Don Giovanni. Anna played as Donna Anna at the Salzburg Festival and immediately her success was clearly mapped out.
The last time the public saw the two as a couple was in March 2006 at the Metropolitan Opera in New York. But in August that year Anna mentioned in one of her interviews:
