Yours truly always remember Tori Spelling as the Heather-ish beta girl beside the alpha female Jenni Garth of the famous “Beverly Hills 90210.” Now all grown up and in her erly 30s, she is a mom to a boy Liam Aaron McDermott, named after her deceased dad TV magnate Aaron Spelling, who died June of last year.
Yes, the new mom gave birth at the Los Angeles’ Cedar Sinai Medical Center, “where mother and baby were said to be resting comfortably.” Liam is her first child while actor husband Dean already has a son from a previous relationship. EOnline reported that her mom Candy was also there to support Tori.
It seems to be a happy ending between the estranged mother and daughter after many months of not speaking with each other. Tori blamed her mother after she learned that she would only get $800,000 of her late father’s fortunes. There were pictures taken of her when she and Dean walked in and out from the thrift stores and later, selling her expensive clothes to Ebay.
The troubles began when Tori included a parody of her mother in one of the episodes of “So NoTORIous,” which left her mother very angry. Since then there has been a friction between the two. But as always the arrival of a new member in the family brings everyone close. Candy, upon learning that Tori was pregnant told People that she was “thrilled and ecstatic.”
Tori and hubby Dean have a new reality series, “Tori & Dean: Inn Love,” which starts on Oxygen next week. It includes acquiring and renovating bed and breakfast in Temecula, California. The grand opening of the B&B, named the Chateau La Rue in honor of Spelling’s pug, Mimi La Rue, took place earlier this month.
Tori also planned to write down her memoir and expected to publish it in 2008.
Meanwhile Jude Law is on the prowl again. This time the 34-year-old actor, who’s known for his taste in women younger than his age after a botched marriage life with a much older Sadie Frost of “Bram Stoker’s Dracula” fame, was eyeing the 20-year-old Lindsay Lohan, the flirt mistress. Sources of Page Six said that the two were getting cosy. She met up with her friend DJ AM, possibly after the breakup with Mandy Moore, in a New York hostpot The Box. It was also reported that the two were having fun. It must be normal that Lindsay parties like there no tomorrow and doesn’t have any qualms hooking up with every guy she fancies. But her mother, man, her mother, was there too, like she was one of Lindsay’s girls. There’s a term in German language referring to mothers like Dina Lohan, Rabenmutter. It means a raven mother who neglects her youngsters and doesn’t have effing care about what’s gonna happen to her children.
Here is Lindsay, having an affair with older men. That can only mean one thing: something’s wrong in the Lohan house. Okay, I might not have the right to judge her but I am a mother too. And I know what it means to be in her shoes. But encouraging her girl’s bad habit is not right. Heck, she should have taken care of her other daughter too, right?

Sure the audience likes it when some shit hits the fan. Sometimes too the gossip magazines read too much, adding more fuel to a less than smoke. Okay, so it must be exciting to tell the world that the marriage of one celebrity couple This and That is on the rocks. It is good for the supply (when it is printed) and hits (internet).

Anyway, two of those couples that have been the favourite target these days are none other than the pairs Courteney Cox and David Arquette on the first and Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, on the other.

Rumours circulating that Courteney Cox and David Arquette’s seven-year marriage is falling apart. For “Friends” star and the best pal of Jennifer Aniston, who is a divorcee, the controversy is being blamed to drum up interest for her new show “Dirt.” Now, I only saw the trailer (yours truly is in Europe) and it reminds me of “Nip/Tuck.” If it is going to climb to the charts, earn higher ratings than “Friends,” we will see.

Page Six, however, reported that “Jennifer and Marc are lovey-dovey in public, but insiders say they’ve hit a rough patch in their marriage.”
For all we know, it might just be a normal fight between married couples, you know? There are times, stress affects the moods, and the harmony doesn’t seem right. The press concludes too much.
We should cut these couples some slack.

Hey, ho, have you heard that singer-actress Mandy Moore has broken up with DJ AM? DJ who? DJ what? For those of you who are uninitiated to the “titillating,” partner-swapping world of young prominent people in the Tinseltown, DJ AM, a.k.a Adam Goldstein, used to date Nicole Richie, yes, the dubbed IT girl, famous for her “Simple Life” reality show, her friendship with Paris Hilton, her dad Lionel Richie and her battle with anorexia.
Adam, let’s call him just Adam, shall we?, after the split from Nicole was overheard telling his friends that he needed to date another high-profile person because his ratings were plummeting.
And so it seemed that the bait was Mandy.
Now let’s deconstruct these tangled relationships.

Nicole is now permanently seeing Joel Madden, the vacuous singer of the bubble gum pseudo punk band Good Charlotte (for lack of a better word), no offense but no one call his band’s music music. They’ve been together since Joel broke up with Lizzie McGuire star Hilary Duff.

Actress-singer Hilary, whose new album “Dignity” is due to be on sale next month, puts out the single with the same title full of acidic undertones lambasting her former apple of the eye and the new lover, Nicole.
“Gypsy Woman,” is a song is reportedly about Nicole: “She lets you think that you found her first / That’s how she works her sick and twisted gypsy curse. / Talks with a grin ’cause she’s got no shame / Enjoy the fame, bringing down the family name.”
According to Hilary’s spokesperson, it is just normal because “she has gone through a lot.”
See the pattern? Ahhh, the merry circus of love affairs in Hollywood.

Call this “Y tu mamá también” revisited. But definitely, these guys have come a long way ever since the two appeared side by side in 2001. After the film came out, female fans were more than willing to swap their boyfriends to Gael García Bernal, 29, and his best friend Diego Luna, 28. For the males, the two would be a grave threat if the characters they portrayed existed in real life.
Those two eager-eyed, oversexed Latin American boys transformed before our very eyes. Their winning smiles and their cool attitude toward love, lust and friendship, the coming-of-age plot that was extraordinary yet charming that caught our attention.
At least, for the two Latin American actors, the film was the start of something new, a breakthrough, if one would call it like that.
Gael, already gained the nods of the critics via “Amores Perros” directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (”Babel”, “21 Grams”). For him producing films that he only likes is the prerequisite of being an actor. Gael is opting for more challenge, better filmmaking, nourishing his political stance/side. In the recent interview with Time he discussed his ability to discern good films, why he choose dark characters, his sudden fame, and his mulltilingual skills.

The first time you went to Cannes, in 2000, was to promote Amores Perros with Gonzalez Inarritu, when you were both virtual unknowns. What was it like going back last year for Babel?

The whole universe changed in a way. Before, Latin America was left behind in competitions like Cannes. Thanks to [festival director] Thierry Fremaux and to the cinema that’s been coming out of Latin America, little by little, it’s a bit more accepted.

In Babel, which just came out on DVD, U.S. border agents are suspicious of your Mexican character’s motives for crossing the border into the U.S. Has this been your experience?

That scene is an extraordinary case, but yes, I’ve crossed in many places: Juarez, Tijuana, Tecate. It’s sort of a ritual of humiliation. You get asked questions you don’t know how to answer because they’re ridiculous, like, “Where do you come from?” I’m like, “Are you serious? From Mexico. Where else?”

What do you think of the proposed border wall?

It’s a silly waste of money. First, the excuses to build it have a lot to do with terrorism. But the [9/11] terrorists didn’t come from Mexico. Second, there is the world economy. Everyone is talking about free trade, but the wall doesn’t allow for free trade of labor — although it’s needed.

In addition to your role in Babel, you’ve played many characters who have a dark side. Why do they appeal to you?

I do characters that I like and that are human. They have many different sides. It depends on how you see them — whether you look for the dark or the light.

As a native Spanish speaker who is fluent in English, do you find it any harder to express yourself in one language versus the other?

It’s different musical keys. You have to think differently. Everything, really, is practice. I also speak Portuguese. There are others I intend to speak properly — French and Italian. I’m almost there. Source

While Diego is taking the other route, catching up with him, courting Hollyood in his own sweet time, marketing himself to the American audience. He is very different from costar. Though Gael cannot help to be included in the circus, especially if your amour is Natalie Portman. The two were spotted dating again when they were in Berlin this year. They parted ways in 2004.
For the second time, the two actors are together again filming “Rudo y Cursi.” This time it will be a more mature Gael and Diego. Can’t wait to see them again!

I speak with Gisele every day and she would have told me.” And Bundchen’s sister Raquel adds, “It is clear that Gisele is not pregnant. People around the two are certain that Kate will be William’s bride and that the ceremony will happen next year, which to William’s busy sked might not be possible.

Meanwhile in Hollywood, Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter, 27, is dating Hillary Duff’s sister Haylie, 22. According to Teen Hollywood, “The couple was spotted ‘making out’ at Los Angeles club Les Deux last week, fuelling speculation of a romance.”

The couple has been spotted getting intimate on dates around New York. A witness tells In Touch, “They were holding hands and kissing. They didn’t care who saw them.”

Oscar best actor nominee Ryan Gosling and Rachel McAdams are absolutely enjoying their togetherness. Rachel was all praise for her boyfriend, “He did such an amazing job.” She told magazine Elle (via People) referring to the actor’s movie. Even admiring her boyfriend of two years for his work ethic, “He never does the same thing twice. He’s very brave. I don’t think he sees the point unless he can find out what he’s made of every time. He just doesn’t back off. He goes into everything from that place.”
The two met while filming “The Notebook” in 2004 but weren’t keen into each other until they finished the movie.

She told Bust (via FemaleFirst): “Gavin is always going to be a chick magnet. So I always have to have a gun in my pocket, just in case!”
The couple married in 2002. Last year, their son Kingston James was born. Though in 2004, a controversy struck their household when the two found out that Gavin was the father of Daisy Lowe, a model and the daughter of former Powder singer-fashion designer-socialite Pearl Lowe. Daisy was supposed to be Gavin’s goddaughter until some people noticed the striking resemblance between the two. A DNA testing was followed and later determined that she is indeed Gavin’s child. Soon after he and Pearl are currently embroiled in a court case over backdue child support.
Gwen, meanwhile, is heading to start a tour in Australia beginning at the end of March. Herald Sun published an article that “as far back as No Doubt’s 2000 album ‘Return of Saturn,” Gwen was already hinting her desire to be a mother. The song “What You Waiting For,” “started with a ticking clock that served as a not-so-subtle metaphor for her own biological equivalent.” It took Gavin a few years before fulfilling her wish. The issue of Gavin and Pearl’s love child definitely made the decision more concrete and faster.
Gwen also finds motherhood a wonderful thing. “But for now I don’t feel like it’s changed me all that much, it’s just made my life much more fun. He’s definitely my favourite thing I’ve ever done. I find it difficult to find words to describe the whole thing because it’s such a miracle.”

Just like any parent, Johnny Depp and his partner for nine years Vanessa Paradis are worried of their older child Lily Rose, 7, who is being treated in a UK hospital.
Mirror broke the news about Johnny’s daughter’s hospitalisation but doesn’t want to divulge Lily’s exact health condition “out of respect for family privacy.”
Johnny’s publicist Robin Baum just told the media that Lily “is doing much better.” And that Johnny’s family “greatly appreciates the continued support and respect of their privacy.” However, In Touch Magazine claimed that it has details of Lily’s serious illness.
Hopefully, Johnny’s little girl might overcome this and that she leaves the hospital healthy and happy.
Depp lives with French singer and actress Vanessa, whom he met while filming “The Ninth Gate” in 1998. The couple has another child, a son, John “Jack” Christopher Depp III, who was born on April 10, 2002.
Depp has noted that having children has given him “real foundation, a real strong place to stand in life, in work, in everything. You can’t plan the kind of deep love that results in children. Fatherhood was not a conscious decision. It was part of the wonderful ride I was on. It was destiny; kismet. All the math finally worked.”
Apart from maintaining a residency in Hollywood Hills and a villa in the south of France, Johnny also owns an island in the Bahamas, where he spends some of his time.

For days, Gawker is following up the news of Tom Cruise and wife Katie Holmes’ new residence. Dakota. yes, you heard it right, Dakota.
If you have seen the films Roman Polanski’s “Rosemary’s Baby” and Tom’s own interpretation of “Abre los ojos” where his character was decribed living in the famed Gothic building, that is “Vanilla Sky,” then you are on the right track.

John was murdered in front of the building. And guess what? According to VH1, they are the anthithesis of a prominent couple. Chris lets Gwyneth attend ceremonies and official functions that have got to do with show business alone. You could say that he isn’t complicated and not at all amazed with the circus surrounding Hollywood. In turn, Gwyneth doesn’t mind braving the flashes coming from the photographers all by herself.
The paparazzi must have a field day spotting the two together but official photo shoots of the two would be Gwyneth facing the spotlight and hubby Chris trailing behind, almost like a bystander.
Gwyn thinks being a housewife requires “24 hours a days, seven days a week and they want you present and real and connected and there” but says proudly of her little family “the best three years of my life.”

The singer, who engages himself with social organisations like Make Trade Fair propagating the use of trade fair in developing countries, made a public apology yet sort of of late.

I bleed for Kylie Minogue. After the botched relationship with French actor Olivier Martinez this girl deserves to have a happy ending. Witnesses said that she seemed happy noting that she got over the split after a four-year romance with Olivier.
Digital Spy reported that the actor already replaced Kylie in December last year introducing Sarai Givaty to his parents.
The Australian singer is set to be back on the recording studio for her next CD and promised that it would be the sexiest album ever. She has drafted in an unknown Scottish writer Calvin Harris, 23, to assist her.
Kylie said: “The songs are amazing. I promise it will be the sexiest pop album ever.”
She might have broken up with ladies’ man Olivier–he flirted with a host of actresses and unknowns–but she still professes love to his dog Sheba. Apart from the fashion show and the checkups in Paris, the embattled Australian singer was also spotted walking his Rhodesian Ridgeback dog down the streets. Though there are rumours that she is trying to get back Oli calling him several times much to the annoyance of her former boyfriend. That explains her still attachment with the dog, whom she admitted was always for her during the trying times. While she waited for the cancer and the announcements, the dog kept her company.
Oli’s father Robert explained that for his son the separation is final. “It was so sad to hear it but we would like the two to be happy after the end of the day.”

Yesterday, the former loverbirds attended another day of divorce hearing. According to Hello Magazine, “Neither were called to the stand during the five-hour hearing, letting their barristers do the talking. The case will determine a custody agreement over the couple’s three-year-old daughter Beatrice and a financial settlement–with Heather standing to gain a portion of her estranged husband’s £825 million fortune.”
The divorce case between Heather and Sir Paul is getting more pathetic every day compared to their spectacular wedding ceremony in June 2002. Can you say, ironic?
Heather, a famous anti-landmine campaigner, was accompanied by her solicitor Anthony Julius, who won a £17 million divorce settlement for Princess Diana, while the Beatles singer was joined by his lawyer Fiona Shackleton, who previously acted on behalf of Prince Charles.
When asked by the reporters for a comment, Paul, who was seen smiling, said, “No, but nice of you to ask, thank you.”
Meanwhile, Heather finally decided to use her newfound celebrity alive by joining “Strictly Come Dancing” (US Dancing With the Stars) with a dancing champion, which will be shown on March 7. Lotsa, especially if you are an actor and a celebrity and you are trying to keep the secret as hard as you can.

For months 39-year-old British-Australian actress Naomi Watts, who’s currently wrapping up the Austrian-German film remake “Funny Games” with auteur Michael Haneke, neither confirmed nor denied the rumoured pregnancy.

But a slip in an Escada press release just told a different story, in fact, a very big one, the laber Naomi wore on Sunday’s Oscars. The lemon-coloured, empire waist gown with a maroon sash slightly revealed an obvious baby bump.
“The Escada gown set off her most precious new asset–the baby she is expecting with longtime boyfriend Liev Schreiber,” it read.
The pair didn’t have any choice but to confirm the pregnancy. So the day after the Oscars actor Liev Schreiber admitted the news on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien,” “Yes, I’m going to be a dad. Very exciting.”
The actor also told the host that he mocked Naomi for going to the Oscars as she’s “normally a wallflower.”
It would be the first child for the actress. The couple has been dating for almost two years after Naomi ended a longtime affair with actor and fellow Australian Heath Ledger, who basically is now a father too and 11 years her junior.
