Another soppy story. But don’t we all need some good old-fashioned love serenade too once in our lives? Noel Gallagher of Oasis did just that. Dedicating the song “Slide Away” off the band’s debut to his girlfriend, Sara McDonald at the recent Teenage Cancer Trust charity show at the Royal Albert Hall and was broadcast via the British radio station, Noel was said to be proud of the arrival of a baby and declared that his child would be “gorgeous” and a “genius.”
The Oasis guitarist respected the organisation founded by The Who’s Roger Daltrey that he played twice.
He and his Scottish gf for seven years are expecting their first child. Noel, who is already a father, was convinced the tot will be the perfect mix of both of them.
He told the audience of the source of his pride: “Another addition to the Gallagher family is what the world has been waiting for. I’m looking forward to seeing a direct cross between me and my Mrs because she is gorgeous and I’m a genius - f**ing god help you all!”
The Oasis guitarist spoke affectionately about the sexy brunette, who is four months pregnant, before introducing classic Oasis song “Slide Away.”
It will be Sara’s first child. Noel already has a seven-year-old daughter, Anais, with ex-wife Meg Matthews.

I think I know now the personal creed of the trio–singer/designer/once-in-a-while-actress time Gwen Stefani, her husband rocker Gavin Rossdale and their cutesy little boy Kingston: “The family that shops together stays together.”
It is good to see that they are having fun and everything is all right. Despite the many temptations the couple faces, especially Gavin, who is the eternal magnet for screaming female groupies and a subject of controversy surrounding his model daughter Daisy, Gwen and Gavin are holding on to each other. Gwen is busy preparing for a tour in Down Under while the hubby is stuck with his new band.
It goes to show that love, whoever you are, whatever you are, needs hard work and effort. Just like what they say, love is like a plant, you water is every day, take care of it, voila, it grows!
Though the sight of Kingston and the pacifier disturbs me. Generally, I am never in favour of soothers and proud to say that my own son didn’t get to know it.
Anyway, here’s to the shopaholic family who was caught spending some shopping time in west Hollywood this week.

Game’s over for model 27-year-old Czech model Petra Nemcova and singer James Blunt, 30. The singer made it clear that the affair was getting nowhere. This is the another heartbreak for model Petra after she lost fiance Simon Atlee from the catastrophic 2004 Tsunami in Southeast Asia. Though the model was upset the two are still on friendly terms, contacting each other by phone regularly.
A friend blamed their blooming careers for the breakup. James is currently in the United States recording a follow-up to his successful debut album, “Back to Bedlam,” which spawned the hit “You’re Beautiful.” While Petra is very much in demand for modelling stints.
The friend added that James is now enjoying being a single man.
James’ mind was already set breaking the news to his former girlfriend shorty after they attended last month’s Oscars. This shot was taken during Oscars’ party and the impending storm was nowhere to be seen as the former couple appeared having fun.
The singer has been linked to Hollywood bad girl Lindsay Lohan after he was pictured going back to her Beverly Hills home last week. The same friend denied the romance.

The young actress Kirsten Dunst has found a newfound love in Razorlight frontman, the British Johnny Borrell, the two were seen in London this week.
According to The Sun, Kirsten is said to be adjusting to his boyfriend’s home and lifestyle. That is, the integration to British life isn’t complete without Bangers and mash, a British colloquial name for sausages and mash potato on the menu. Hmmmmm…. yummy!
Johnny introduced his new American girlfriend to his city and “one of the great institutions this side of the pond – British bangers.”
The actress currently makes herself at home in Johnny’s London flat after meeting the singer only a few short weeks ago.
If this isn’t the sort of Flavour of the Month thing for Kirsten instead everything goes out right with the two then Kiki will join fellow Americans Madonna and Gywneth Paltrow.

Is there trouble in the Beckinsale-Wiseman house?
Contrary to the news feeds I am receiving right now, the 33-year-old English actress is seemingly enjoying a passionate sex-filled life with director Len Wiseman. Kate is advising married women to have more sex with their partners. And that she believes that the secret to a happy marriage is lots of sex.
It is not a secret that this is the same Kate who told us last year that it is her husband’s own doing, that is, for making her feel sexy every day. Len directed “Underworld: Evolution” parading his wife dressed around in top-to-toe latex, and in one scene she was having threesome with two vampires.
He picks out her outfit and she strips for her husband via a webcam. That every time they work apart and miss each other, the sexy brunette, who was rumoured to have a boob job, and husband Len watch each other cavorting naked on their computers. You might not like the music the couple Avril Lavigne, 22, and Deryck Whibley make but they sure look cute especially when you aren’t sober. In a way you have to praise Avril’s effort from not doing the rock ‘n’ roll wedding everybody expected of her. They did it the way every girl dreams of white dress exclusively designed by Vera Wang and a small gathering with their friends and family though the paparazzi had a field day invading their privacy with their huge lenses.
According to Avril on the April issue of Jane via People: “I wanted to be like, ‘Oh, let’s totally have a rock ‘n’ roll, goth wedding.’ But at the same time I was like, ‘I’ve been dreaming about my wedding day since I was a little girl. I have to wear the white dress.’ I wanted to be a princess, okay? People thought I would have done, like, some black wedding dress, and yeah, I would have. But at the same time I was thinking about our pictures, and I wanted—like, that’s why I have this ring—I wanted to be in style. (She holds up the hugest Barbie-dream-bauble diamond ring ever.) The media-declared bubblegum punk princess said of the four-year older Deryck, a fellow Canadian and the lead singer of Sum 41, “I’m the best thing that’s ever happened to him… He doesn’t do drugs. Clearly, he used to, because he talked about it, but I wouldn’t be with someone who did, and I made that very clear to him when we first started dating.”
Avril and Deryck married July 10 last year in front of 110 guests at a private estate in Montecito, California.
The two started dating in 2004. The next year they were engaged in Venice, Italy. Deryck surprised her with a gondola ride and a romantic picnic.
Avril credits marriage to Deryck for turning her into a more mature, calmer person though she insists she hasn’t completely tamed her wild ways: “I still have my boyfriend-bashing songs!”

Sir Paul McCartney is keen on moving on despite the ugly divorce battles with Heather Mills. After a seemingly failed hookup between Sir Paul and actress Blythe Danner by their respective daughters designer Stella McCartney and Gwyneth Paltrow, the musician was spotted dining and exchanging hot glances with Sabrina Guinness.
The socialite is known in the 1970s as a rock chic who dated a string of rockers like Mick Jagger, Bryan Ferry and Rod Stewart. Her fame firmly established when she entered Prince Charles’ list of paramours that made her become more popular in the press speculating that she soon would be the queen of England.
According to The Sun, the 52-year-old Sabrina “is comforting the ex-Beatle.” On Wednesday, the couple was seen together in London having a secret dinner. Sir Paul’s friends find the Guinness beer empire heiress “a tower of strength” and expressed worries about the musician. They would like him to go out more and start living again.
“People like Sabrina are making this possible.”
But as soon as a paparazzo saw them the two went their separate ways.
Though Sabrina is very much thrusted into the rock ‘n’ roll world, she has dedicated her life founding a charity that deals with the youth, the Youth Culture TV. Her immense contact with pop culture has helped realised her this project.
The daughter of aristocrat James Guinness, Sabrina has also been linked in the past to Hollywood stars like Jack Nicholson and Michael Douglas. Though she never married and has always lived alone.
She and Sir Paul are also supporting a charity project with US presidential hopeful Al Gore.

The couple Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony were spotted in an island, reportedly off Indian Coast, getting away from the usual Hollywood noise.
Recently the two have been the target of many nasty stories, including the New York Post’s Page Six of an impending membership to Hollywood Splitsville.
It seems to be JLo is holding on to Marc, who used to be married with former beauty queen Dayanara Torres, working on to their union dispelling the rumours.
JLo is promoting her first-ever album in Spanish language, “Como ama una mujer.” Talks abound that the actress-singer is set to perform in Caracas, Venezuela and is going to be accompanied by her Puerto Rican singer husband.

Dita von Teese doesn’t have any qualms remarrying. Despite the absence of a fairytale ending with shock rocker Marilyn Manson, the burlesque star slash socialite slash model slash actress believes in true love that ends in matrimony. It was reported that the rocker didn’t have any idea that everything was over between him and Dita when the latter proceeded with the papers. She cited the usual statement “irreconcilable differences.” But it was due to Marilyn’s alcohol consumption and his disinterest to nurture the relationship.
In fact, the dream of finding the someone special has been on her head while she was having problem with the rocker. Dita, whose real name is Heather Renee Sweet, filed for divorce last December, a year after she and Marilyn married at Gurteen Castle in Ireland.
The bad experience hasn’t turned off the 34-year-old Dita. “I definitely hope to marry again. I believe in that kind of commitment.”
Lately, Dita has been spotted at Saks Fifth Avenue in Beverly Hills attending fashion designer Zak Posen’s autumn 2007 collection. The show is to benefit Chysalis, a non-profit organization that helps find jobs for the homeless.
Marriage isn’t for faint of hearts but Dita is enchanted with the idea after seeing “stunning wedding dresses in Paris.”
Though she enjoys her singlehood, like decorating her new house and putting the past behind her, she hoped to become a mother in the future while proclaiming her distaste with the former husband. “Who I was married to was not really father material.”

Can’t blame Halle Berry. She burned herself not only once but twice. No wonder she doesn’t see herself marrying her new beau, the model-turned-restaurateur Gabriel Aubry, the owner of Cafe Fuego in New York. Perhaps he doesn’t have what it takes or the 41-year-old Oscar winner actress is just fed up with the ritual. For more than a year the two have been dating but Halle says she doesn’t have any plan to “walk down the aisle with him, or anybody.”
Via People, the article will come out in the April issue of InStyle, “I will never, never get married again… Actually it’s just that now I’ve come to a place where I think two people can share their lives without the ring, without the piece of paper.”
Her husbands included Atlanta Braves player David Justice and R&B singer Eric Benét. In the end she wasn’t meant to be happy as both marriages ended in divorce. Eric allegedly cheated on her 27 times.
She met the French-Canadian Gabriel, 31, while shooting a Versace ad in November 2005. The two made their public debut as a couple three months later at the opening of a Versace store in New York City.

Actor, producer and one-time model Ashton Kutcher doesn’t have the best acting role of his lifetime yet but seems to be has found his greatest love, Demi Moore.
When he started dating Demi after the breakup with Brittany Murphy, his costar in the film “Just Married,” many raised their eyebrows. They were casting doubts on his intention to be taken seriously. First off, there is the age difference. Demi is 15 years older than Ashton. Though age shouldn’t matter, in our society there is always a certain discrimination when it comes to women and men. The public doesn’t mind if Brad Pitt is older than Angelina Jolie by 12 years, but people make a fuss if the woman is more than a decade older than her partner.
Second, Ashton’s early projects don’t justify of what he can actually do. The self-produced “Punk’d” on MTV was a success yet branded as a cruise-ship entertainment. His portrayal of the bizarre yet lovable Michael Kelso in the popular “That ’70s Show” was his stepping stone. He made several leading-actor roles that didn’t quite convince the critics although earned him a growing fanbase, especially among women.
A film with playwright-turned-director Neil LaBute is on the way, Ashton once again is in an interracial coupling with Kerry Washingon as his wife. Instead of reprising his role in a comedic role in “Guess Who,” this will be a highly charged drama that tackles racism in all its forms.
When he was interviewed by TV Tattler for his show “Beauty and the Geek” regarding Demi, he admitted that “I’m maybe the most happily married man on the face of the earth. And I have every reason to be.”
Brat Pack alumna Demi, on the other hand, whose marriage with Bruce Willis for many years ended in an affable manner, is rumoured to be carrying Ashton’s first child. But the actress dispelled the reports that she is pregnant. Demi had an a miscarriage during the early months of her marriage with Ashton but confessed that she is dying to have a child with him. Early this month, her Bruce and one of their daughters Tallulah were spotted in the baby department of Bloomingdale’s in Los Angeles shopping for baby clothes.
Demi starred in several movies, in both successful and flopped ones and is regarded by former costar Joss Ackland as not very bright or talented, but she looks definitely happy.

“Spider Man” and “Marie Antoinette” star Kirsten Dunst has found a new love, or flirt. Depends on how you look at it.
The actress, who wants to go back to school to take college-level art classes, has recently seen rocking with the vocalist of the indie band Razorlight, Johnny Borrell. The Sun reported.

A source said: “Kirsten has fallen head over heels for Johnny. She met the band last week and immediately hit it off with him.
“They have been on the phone ever since and getting on like a house on fire. She flew all the way from LA to be in Texas with Johnny. It’s the real deal – they’re a proper item.”
Johnny hired a Harley Davidson to tear around the West Coast, and he roared up at the Kings of Leon gig at SxSW last night in true rock star style–with Spider Man beauty Kirsten straddling the bike behind him.
An onlooker said: “They were snogging at the side of the stage. He was wearing an oversized leather jacket and playing air guitar and air drums.
“She was fluttering her eyelashes at him like a smitten teenager.”

If the reports were true then this is another rock star-actress in the making. Also, Kirsten is playing with fire, eyeing a new boytoy. Johnny is said to be in a longtime relationship like she is. She was rumoured to be dating Drew Barrymore’s ex Fabrizio Moretti, The Strokes’ drummer.
Kirsten admits that she dislikes blind dating and prefers the traditional way of meeting prospective lover in person. Guess it must have been the reason the actess doesn’t have any qualms jetting her way to Texas’ South By Southwest Music Festival to see Johnny.

Roman Abramovich is dubbed the richest man in Russia, the second richest in UK and ranks No. 11 on the Forbes List of Richest People.
And he is a clever man too.
Not only he amassed wealth within a decade span, he also outwitted his former second wife Irina, 38. Instead of the reported 7 billion of dollars that she would get out of the divorce settlements from her oligarch husband it will be “cash and tangible assets, such as a house in Britain, a house near Moscow, a yacht and a plane” that amounts to $300 millions compared to other famous divorcees like Anna Murdoch, nee Torv, who got $1.7 billions in a publicised soapish drama in 1999.
Irina’s price is less than 2 per cent of his $18.7 billion fortune after their 16-year marriage. The assets not only include money but also several houses and castles in Europe, including a €27-million penthouse on a noble Kohlmarkt Street in Vienna’s First District.
The former wife evidently accepted the decision. Last year UK tabloids speculated that she would set a new record after she filed divorce in London. The UK law says that couples have to split 50-50 of all their assets if they acquired them during their marriage.
The “consensual agreement” was made out of the UK ball. They did it in a remote Russian region of Chukotka where Abramovich is governor.
According to Moscow News, “The confirmed $300 million figure does not include promised financial support for the couple’s five children.”
And if it isn’t for Russian president Vladimir Putin to “clean his act,” the divorce wouldn’t happen. Mr. Putin is a traditional family man and was clearly embarrassed upon finding out that the Russian posterboy Abramovich was embroiled in a love controversy.
The Viennese tabloid Heute described the paramour as a 23-year-old pretty and sexy brunnete Russian with a British passport who used to date Russian tennis star Marat Safin. The couple was seen early this week cavorting in Paris enjoying the sunshine. (Source)

For days the French band Phoenix is keeping my company. The band was formed in 1999 and was produced from the same music culture along with their fellow Parisians: Air and Daft Punk. Phoenix’s music is upbeat, catchy, and gives you the feeling of “hey, I know I’ve heard this one before.” Meaning it reminds you of an uncomplicated life back when you were younger. Though if you could listen closely to the lyrics, it would give you the impression of despair and disenchanment. Ironic it is.
Irony is also Thomas Mars Jr. He is this cute doe-eyed singer and frontman of Phoenix, who might be surprised finding himself trapped in the attention and flashes he is getting quite simply because he is the man behind Sofia, the ultra-cool progeny of Francis Ford Coppola and the toast of modern Hollywood. Sofia is known to be the mistress of creating a series of films that decipher girls in trouble combined with a great choice of songs to be included in the soundtrack and the shots with superb melancholic mood.
Her recent film “Marie Antoinette” was her own interpretation of the ill-fated queen of France. Though it failed to convince both the audience and the critics, her husband’s band was included in one of the scenes. A tradition that is very present in the Coppola family.
This collaboration was not new. The two met in 2002 while Sofia was filming “Lost in Translation” and mixing the soundtrack. But there was no spark then as she was still married with director Spike Jonze, who is now romantically linked with actress Drew Barrymore.
