You bet, their love for each other might have vanished and just like ordinary people they don’t want to see their exes’ faces but unlike us, average humans, they don’t have to hide nor cower their heads upon encountering their former lovers unexpectedly. Just because their pockets are so deep that they can afford to hire a publicist to manage and take care of their “great escape.” And like their day job, everything is and has to be orchestrated. That’s according to one publicist who talked recently to New York Times.

Before a high-profile event, Mr. Torossian of 5W contacts other publicists and event planners to find out if or when one of his clients’ exes will be there. Because he is not always willing to take other publicists at their word, he will also call “friendly reporters” along the red carpet to confirm which famous faces have already arrived, he said. He reads the daily Associated Press schedule of newsworthy events, and tip sheets, too, “just to make sure we don’t get ambushed.”
These protective services extend beyond public appearances and red carpet functions. If the exes are in the middle of a media frenzy, “We’ll call the gym or the grocery store beforehand so if somebody’s ex is there, my client won’t walk in,” Mr. Torossian said.
It is the celebrity equivalent of telephoning a friend before a party and blurting out: “Is he going? Because if he’s going, I’m not going.”

The last thing these celebrities want is the so-called “third-wheel picture.” Howard Bragman, the founder of Fifteen Minutes PR in Los Angeles, explained, “That is the photo where one ex is seen with a ‘fabulous new partner’ and the other–a client–is seen standing forlornly alone.”
It is just logical that the ex-lovers wouldn’t want to be in the same frame. Not only it is embarrassing it is also a nasty turn of events. Imagine the revenge!
So don’t be surprised if Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, and Jennifer Aniston don’t show up on the same event. It is just an adult, moneyed, version of a funny teenage game of avoiding the former flame with the the help of a publicist.

Mirror, mirror on the wall who is the most glamourous couple of them all…
Now that the chaos and madness surrounding the 79th Annual Film Academy Awards is finally wearing out, I’d like to present to you the prettiest and loveliest couples in the Tinseltown as collected by yours truly!

Adrien Brody, who won a best actor award for his portrayal of the celebrated Polish pianist Władysław Szpilman trapped in the ravages of World war II, with his girlfriend Elsa Pataky caught at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party. He’s lovely, not to mention talented too, and so is she.

New Bond Daniel Craig with amour the producer Satsuki Mitchell. Although I am not particularly excited about his Bond version he certainly made a character out of the English Jesuit priest John Ballard who would assassinate Elizabeth I from the film “Elizabeth”. In spite of the attention he gets from his latest flick, looks like he and Satsuki are doing very good.

Eddie Murphy with current girlfriend Tracey E. Edmonds keeping their cool as they waited for the ceremony. He didn’t win the award but is he finally going to admit that he is the father of Mel B’s, aka Spicey Spice, unborn child?

Love is blind.
Between supermodel Kate Moss, 33, and her lover musician Peter Doherty, 27, love is truly blind. In fact, it is even deaf. A normal person would ask: what does Kate see in Pete? Really, what qualities does Pete have that Kate doesn’t want to let him go? Is it the fear of being alone? Is it his “extraordinary, free-spirited, talented” personality that matches Kate’s?
There’s Kate. A fashion icon, a supermodel, a celebrity. Most of all a favourite fodder to British rags, her glamorous life, her health, the drug scandals, the depression and her sordid love affairs. One boulevard press paid attention to her habit–shopping for new boyfriends–more often than she changed her undies. One of her quests, the romance with Johnny Depp was celebrated, whom she declared then the love of her life. When they split up she sunk into deep depression. After some rehab visits, love mishaps, and eventually the appearance of her daughter Lila Grace, now four, she met Pete.
And then there’s also The Babyshambles frontman who isn’t a stranger to fame. His former band, The Libertines, tasted a brief popularity in the early 2000 until the members decided to call it quits. His notoriety–affair with drugs, arrests and court appearances–and his high-profile relationship with Kate has made him a household name. And eventually a pariah. Both from the press and Kate’s friends, pinpointing his addiction and his misdemeanor a bad influence on Kate. Some of them even said he was a parasite, a sucker to the supermodel’s success. They even claimed that she was fighting her own demons why bring another one to her life who has more, worse, more toxic? She continued the affair much to the detriment of the public and the media. Pete’s own grieving mother cannot pacify the rock star.
Because of Pete’s repetitive use of drugs, everyone gets worried and thinks it is an irresponsible act to let Kate’s daughter come near him. This is exactly the thoughts of Kate’s ex and Lila Grace’s father, Jefferson Hack, 35.
The ultimate trial came in autumn 2005. When she was caught snorting lines of cocaine “in a matter of minutes” by a clever onlooker, reportedly Pete’s manager, who didn’t hesitate to sell the pictures to the Daily Mirror, she lost her major modelling contracts. By the time she publicly apologised, she decided to leave Pete and checked herself to a rehab.
Burberry and Co. might have said their adieu but not her friends. One day, she bounced back. Her face, still waifish all these years, was again on the front page of fashion magazines. This time fresh and with renewed hopes.
But her love for Pete has always been there. There was the reported list of to-dos for her lover to come clean and be free of substance. She encouraged him to go to drug therapy. And there were also the aborted wedding plans–first in Bali then again in Thailand. In Florence, Italy the two were seen shopping for an engagement ring last year. When Kate was in Bali, Pete couldn’t leave London due to an appearance in court. When the two was in Thailand the model was in constant fear of her boyfriend. She knew that being busted in Thailand for drugs is the end of their story. In fact, what makes her more afraid is losing Pete to drugs.
Still she keeps hanging on to him whatever happens.
Recently, photos showing one member of his band holding a gun prompted the spokesperson of Mothers Against Gun, Lucy Cope, to comment that posing with “glamourising a gun, whether it is real or not,” is disgusting. After the said images surfaced Kate and Pete were caught enjoying the coming sping in the model’s country house.
Perhaps it is true love that binds them together. I mean, come on, this isn’t confined only to celebrities. The only difference is that they have a fat account and we don’t have. Some might say the Kate-Peter affair is one classic example of why girls find bad boys attractive. Or maybe, there must be something in Pete that Kate cannot simply resist. Only the supermodel knows why.

Pictures of actress Sienna Miller sunbathing topless in the beach of Mexico are circulating in the media. But that’s not all, she has reportedly enjoying the sun and the cool waters with Jamie Burke.
They met earlier this month at a party in New York while promoting her latest film “Factory Girl.”
Sienna obviously looked smitten by the 21-year-old model. An onlooker told British tabloid The Sun that the couple seems totally in love. They even spent a week on Tulum, a coastal settlement by the Caribbean Sea.
The 25-year-old Sienna admitted that Jamie was “her own Dylan,” a reminiscent of her character that had an affair with Bob Dylan.
Sienna had a long-time relationship, even though stormy, with Jude Law and for a while recently fooled around with hip-hop magnate Puff Daddy, aka Sean Combs. The paparazzi caught the actress and the musician exchanging numbers. A video even showed Puff Daddy and his entourage dropped off Sienna to her hotel. Puff just had twins with girlfriend Kim Porter, who is still upset with Puff’s liaison with Jennifer Lopez. Kim said she wouldn’t know what to do if her Puff would go astray again this time. Though Sienna and the musician both denied that they were dating and insisted that they were just friends.
The young and long-haired Jamie, in turn, had a year-long affair with co-model Jessie Leonard until he got involved with Kate Moss for a month. He dated Lindsay after that and the pair were together for four months. He soon quickly moved to Courtney Love, who is twice his age and the widow of Nirvana singer Kurt Cobain. The rock singer, 42, confessed that she found an “Adonis” in Jamie.
For now, it seems to be that Sienna and Jamie are in seventh heaven.
Now the question is: how long is this going to last?

Reuters wrote that English soccer star David Beckham and his wife, fashionista and former Spice Girl, Victoria “Posh” Beckham, are having difficulty finding a house in Los Angeles.

The two are struggling to find a suitable mansion in his future hometown of Los Angeles after he and his wife reportedly looked at more than 20 homes in the $18 million to $30 million range, the Los Angeles Times said on Sunday.

Part of the problem, the paper said after interviewing realtors hoping to land the lucrative sale, is that the newly signed member of the Los Angeles Galaxy Major League Soccer team does not want a house that would require any remodeling to fit his preferences.

And, even though his five-year deal with the Galaxy is worth an eye-popping $250 million, he hopes to find a house for less than $20 million, the paper added.

Beckham and his wife, former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, also want a place that is not visible from the street, the paper said.

Model-actress Carmen Electra of “Baywatch,” and rocker Dave Navarro, who used to be the guitarist of Jane’s Addiction and played with the Red Hot Chilli Peppers relieving John Frusciante for a brief time, have finalised their divorce.
Sun reported that the former sweethearts “officially severed all marital ties at the Los Angeles Superior Court the other day. The childless couple have agreed to split their assets and personal belongings in accordance with a pre-marital agreement. They have both waived spousal support. Carmen’s publicist confirmed the couple were ‘amicably separating’ in July.”
The 34-year-old Carmen filed for divorce citing “irreconcilable differences” in August last year. They met on a blind date and married in 2003. For a while, they did an MTV reality series, “‘Til Death Do Us Part: Carmen and Dave” in the tradition of Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey’s “Newlyweds,” who unfortunately got divorced too last year.
More of these formulaic reality shows of celebrity couples who share their beds and kitchen and even intimacy in order satisfy the curious public followed. Thanks to MTV for bringing them to our TV sets. But there must be something ominous in it. Another example is the crazy pair Britney Spears and her ex-husband Kevin “K-fed” Federline who did their own version of reality TV. Most of the couples after months of displaying their mundane everyday lives on TV ended up in divorce or separation.
But Carmen is fickle as a breeze. This was her second marriage. She was previously the missus of the infamous basketball star Denis Rodman, who is known for his outlandish hairstyle and lifestyle, in Las Vegas. They divorced five months later. Could it be Dave’s dark side (he used to keep a coffin in the house as a furniture even maintained black-painted walls) that triggered lovely Carmen to finally dump him?
Oh well, another flash-in-the-pan marriage…

Jude Law doesn’t have a new girlfriend. At least, that’s what the actor’s camp is trying to say. The last rumours surrounding Jude’s affair with a British marketing employee, Kate Hopewell, were not true. The couple denied that they were dating but insisted that they were just friends.
Still that doesn’t stop Jude from searching for the next one. He trailed along with his kids to enjoy the weeklong break flying north.
“It seems that there are not enough women in his homeland that he had to fly three hours to Iceland searching for a new woman on his side.” Gala magazine wrote.
The actor is charmed with a nordic beauty. The attractive TV host Halla Vilhjámsdottir is said to have captured the 34-year-old actor. She moderates the show “x-Factor” in Iceland. According to The Sun, “Jude found himself swamped by girls on the dance floor. But he was only interested in Halla–who was attracting plenty of attention herself because she is a big name in Iceland. They were getting very close and made themselves scarce shortly after–and it wasn’t to get some fresh air.” The couple went for a romantic dinner at a posh restaurant Domo. Witnesses say that the pair “were locked in conversation for hours and were clearly attracted to each other.”
The brunette Icelandic is 10 years his junior and a trained actress. “She graduated from an acting school in Guildford, Surrey in 2004 and did some work with ITV and the BBC. She also starred in the touring musical ‘Grease,’ but her heart is set on returning to London to make it big as an actress.”
Jude split with fiancée Sienna Miller last year after a three-year on-off relationship. The ultimatum was after the confession of the actor’s former nanny followed by the couple’s flings in between.

Ever since ““Titanic” made the celebrity out of Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet, the audience has been expecting the same formula in their later works.
Ten years after, the two stars branched out from the usual Hollywood-blockbuster type of films. For one, Kate Winslet immediately turned down roles that would make her the next Hollywood sweetheart. She didn’t vanish from the limelight. But her films after “Titanic” didn’t grab the teeny crowd’s attention. Hideous Kinky” is about self-discovery. In “Holy Smoke” she becomes an enchantress, a rebel/hippie castaway in India seducing a macho negotiator, the amazing Harvey Keitel, employed by her own parents. Once again her name has become somewhat a brand name when she appeared alongside Jim Carrey in “Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind,” a brilliant of a film everyone who is or who isn’t in love should watch. Her recent works “Holiday” and “Lost Children” earned praise from the critics and even the viewing public.
For two, Leonardo’s grandmother Helene Indenbirken, one of the three most important women in his life, is a “Titanic” fan, not counting millions of screaming girls after they saw Leonardo took the breath out of Kate’s character on the ship teaching her to fly and be free.
“Granny loves the scene where my hair was flipped back as I came down from the stairs,” Leonardo told Gala.
Though the two were never lovers after the film broke the box-office, they have remained good friends.
Kate married James Threapleton in 1998. In 2001, the couple got divorced. Out of this union is Mia. In 2003, she later married Sam Mendes, known for his work “American Beauty,” and gave birth to a son, Joe.

From 2002 to 2005, Leonardo dated model Giselle Bündchen. Though there were rumours that they were engaged, it never pushed through. He’s been linked to Israeli model Bar Refaeli, a lookalike of Giselle, which seems to be an on-off affair. Rumour has it that the actor is desperately working on his career.
OK reported that the pair was spotted dining at Spago in Beverly Hills on Valentine’s Day. Leonardo is a Best Actor Oscar contender for “Blood Diamond” and Bar, 21, is on the pages of the new Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition.

“They walked hand in hand over to their table and looked to be genuinely happy and in love,” an eyewitness says. “They sat in front of the kitchen at the middle table where they could watch all the action with the chefs and seemed to be having a great time.”

There are no plans of a “Titanic” 10th anniversary theatrical re-release, a petition online has been going on urging Paramount Pictures and 20th Century Fox to release a special version of the film. As of this time 286 people have signed.

On February 7, Letizia’s sister, the 31-year-old Erika Ortiz Rocasolano, was found dead in her house she lived in with her daughter Carla. Her suicide shocked the whole nation.
During the funeral the presence of Felipe, holding Letizia’s hand, and the rest of Spanish royals, was a convincing sign that they were behind Letizia during the difficult period of her life. Letizia is set to give birth to a second daughter in May.
On February 14, Letizia along with Felipe resumed her duties visiting Instituto Cervantes after the death of her sister.

For a while actress-model Elizabeth Hurley and her fiance Arun Nayar have sparked rumours of celebrating their wedding in March. Now, it looks like there is a definite date.

People reported that the matrimony will be on March 3.

The actress and swimwear company boss, 41, will marry the Indian-British businessman, 42, in the English countryside on March 3, according to a banns – a public announcement of marriage – posted at the local register’s officer in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire.

A source told People that the couple paid the standard fee of about $58 and spent an hour with a registrar going through the paperwork.
The British press also reported that the ceremony will be held at the “country home of one of Hurley’s friends and followed by a party in India.”
Elizabeth and Arun, a textile heir and computer-company owner, have dated since 2003. Nayar was previously married to Italian model Valentina Pedroni; Hurley and Hugh Grant were a pair from 1987 to 2000. She has a 4-year-old son, Damian Charles, from a relationship with film producer and multi-millionaire Stephen Bing, who was linked to actress Nicole Kidman before.
Elizabeth and Hugh have a cordial relationship after the breakup. When asked if Elizabeth’s ex is invited, the actor confirmed that he is not set to join them. He told In Touch. Hurt he was not. Instead he clarified, “I do not believe that many people invite their exes to the wedding. It doesn’t offend me.”

Meanwhile, Hugh and Jemima Khan, the daughter of the late British billionaire Sir James Goldsmith and ex-wife to Imran Khan, former cricketer turned politician, have ended their relationship, Grant’s publicist, Robert Garlock, confirms to People exclusively.

“Hugh and Jemima have decided to split amicably,” says Garlock.

Looks like all is set for Hugh to attend Liz’s wedding.

To put an end to the speculation, that is between actress Cameron Diaz and champion surfer Kelly Slater getting jiggy, the surfer showed off his latest love publicly.

Teen Hollywood.com reported that Slater’s way of dismissing the romance between him and the actress is by displaying his model girlfriend at a golf and fashion party at the weekend.

Despite denials from all camps, including Slater’s mother, the tabloids liked the idea of the couple being an item, but now Slater has found a way to end the gossip - by showing off his new girlfriend.

The surfer showed up at a Dockers Final Round party at Pebble Beach, California on Saturday with his yet-to-be-identified model love.

A party guest tells Wenn, “They were definitely a couple at the event. Kelly wouldn’t identify his new girl, but we all knew she was extremely special to him.

Divorce is always ugly. And celebrities are swamped with disgusting headlines as they wash their dirty laundry in public.
With Diane Kruger and her ex the mood is somehow peaceful. (Article in German.) The multilingual German beauty admits that the whole episode with her former husband, the French actor and director Guillaume Canet, still makes her somewhat sad.
“We got officially separated December last year. Guillaume is still my best friend. I owe him everything… He inspired me.” When asked what triggered the divorce, “Many marriages fail simply because of the nature of our job. The couple sees each other so rare, spends little time with one another. [ The fact that Guillaume] and I are career-oriented. We love our work so much. And I regret that very much. But we are still in contact.”
Diane became famous in the film “Troy” with Brad Pitt and Orlando Bloom and is almost always on the pages of every fashion and film magazine because of her soft blonde looks and talent. Her new film, “Goodbye Bafana,” has received good reviews at the recent Berlinale in Germany.
The 30-year-old actress spends time with actor Joshua Jackson, who was seen cuddling with the actress at the Cinema for Peace gala in Berlin. Still, she is not at all in a hurry to form a family with him but insists that she wants to have children someday.

It is no news that “Desperate Housewives” star Eva Longoria and her fiance Tony Parker would like to marry. That everyone knows. Gala Germany reported recently that the date and location are now certain.

The matrimonial ceremony will take place on July 7 this year, 070707 to be exact.
The basketball player thought the the date is a good omen. Insider said, “Tony is extremely superstitious and thinks the 07.07.07 brings the wedding luck.”
And what a way to say the yes word in the romantic Chateau de Chantilly, a one-hour drive from Paris. Wedding invitations in the form of the Eiffel Tower are already sent away.
Yet in spite of the joy it brings to the actress, the preparation gives her a headache. At least in making a choice on who’s going to design her wedding gown. In Touch magazine said that she is torn between a designer from her homeland Mexico or someone from France, which is Tony Parker’s homeland. There’s the Mexican designer Angel Sanchez, who already sketched her dress for the Emmy Awards in 2005, and the Filipino fashion designer Monique Lhuillier based in the United States, who is of French-Spanish Filipino descent.
I wonder if Eva’s stylist Robert Verdi knows Monique isn’t really French though she has studied in Switzerland and loves Paris.

How long have they been married?

The 56-year-old Sting made an appearance at the recent Grammy Awards reuniting with his former band the Police, announcing a world tour in the process. Here he is captured with his longtime wife, actress and movie producer, and just like Sting, an activist. She calls her husband with his real name “Gordon.” They got married in 1992. But they lived 10 years before they decided to tie the knot.
